Seems a heck of a lot of money.

I don't think he's worth that much.

But I guess having a six foot eight player may be useful and Rafa will use him properly and make him into a better player.

Good news. Benitez has finally got his target man, and we have a promising striker. We will definately have a lot of options up front. Welcome aboard Crouch.

Now lets sign those defenders.....

looking pretty good i would say

We'll not know if he was worth it until the end of the season!  By that time it's too late!!!!!
Hopefully he will score at least 16 for us this year.

Morientes - 6 million
Garcia - 6 million
Crouch - 7 million?!

How is Crouch worth more than Morientes and Garcia?

Personally i would have preferred Dirk Kuyt.

However if it's deal done let's get behind the boy and give him our every support.:)

Another case of English players being well overpriced.

Totally agree lets give him a chance to prove his worth. You just never know how he's gonna turn out. Rafa obviously wants this guy bad.

Sky . one reporter says 7 million another says 10 million , either way this kind of expenditure on for a player of Crouch's limited top flight experience is laughable . Please God prove that I'm wrong and that Rafa is indeed a genius and Crouch joins the hall of Liverpool goal scoring legends .

Peter Crouch will be a good signing for us guy's, he is a big and easy target to hit for our winger's to cross for, put the ball in the box anywhere near him and there's a 99% chance he will get on the end of it and either score or work the keeper, he has the ability to score at least 16 goal's a season by aerial mean's alone. Also, from any game's I've seen him play for Southampton, he has very good control for his height and I've also seen him put in some nice finishes from his feet too.

Beside's those point's, he will not be first choice all the time, he'll probably only start about 10 or so game's a seaon in the league.
