There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

They say his medical is taking longer than expected, this is because they are having to use a step ladder to do an eye test!

lol.

At least Crouch will bring out a bit of banter. I'm getting annoyed that on every thread its slate Baros time.  Can't wait till they get on Crouch's back...there is alot of room for it.

i know rafa is a tactical genius... but besides alonso, wat has he done in the transfer market to shout about?

garcia is not a GOOD player... his weaknesses as a player cost us as many goals as he scored last season.
josemi... :censored:
morientes... repayed about £2.99 of the £6M we spent on him so far
carson... only chelsea were willing to pay how much leeds demanded for him, surely rafa wasnt the only other premiership manager to see him play?
reina... for the amount he cost, he'd better be the next schmeicel (how do ya spell it thomas88?)
nunez... need i say more.

ppl say becoz crouch scored 16 goals around :censored: players last season, he'll score more with better players... wat abt the other side of the coin.... maybe he was made to look better than he really is becoz he was playing with :censored: players. look at gerrard season before last did great becoz houllier's flops set the standard pretty low... last season he was just "above average" bar select occasions.

we had better get a LOT more than £7M for baros becoz its FACT that baros is a better player, and when he moves on.. he WILL show that. hope he doesnt go to another premiership club.
we've only won it 5 times

I have to agree that it is a gamble and £7m does seem a bit over the odds but he must be given a chance. He is great in the air and i am sure Rafa won't go all one dimensional on us. Obviously if he has a good season then the price will seem cheap. As others have said, let's get behind the lad...

Garcia is not a good player? Garcia is one of the main reasons why we made it in the Champions League final in the first place. All players have weaknesses and I can only recall one time when Garcia losing the ball led to us conceeding a goal and that was against Fulham at home.

carson... only chelsea were willing to pay how much leeds demanded for him, surely rafa wasnt the only other premiership manager to see him play?

So Carson is a bad keeper because only us and Chelsea wanted to buy him?

???

morientes... repayed about £2.99 of the £6M we spent on him so far

Morientes didn't have a full season to prove himself nor did he have the fitness.

ppl say becoz crouch scored 16 goals around players last season, he'll score more with better players... wat abt the other side of the coin.... maybe he was made to look better than he really is becoz he was playing with  players

If he scored 16 goals with sh1t players why couldn't he do it with a better club?

we had better get a LOT more than £7M for baros becoz its FACT that baros is a better player, and when he moves on.. he WILL show that. hope he doesnt go to another premiership club.

Good luck to him, I don't care where he proves himself because he can't do it for Liverpool Football Club.

First off i don't know why you are mentioning Reina he has only just come.

Secondly i think Rafa realises this season that more players with EPL experience were needed like Zenden and Crouch rather than all additions from overseas as he is more aware of what English football is about now. It was a learning process for him too last season as he is a young manager. Garcia was inconsistent but there have been manay many worse foreign imports into this league and i do not think we would be European champions without him.

Also there is no evidence that Baros is a better player- he has a bad attitude, gives the ball away and misses lots of chances.

well said A.B.

Personally i'm happy that Crouch is coming.. though i also agree that 7M is a high price to pay for him.
However, i'm ready to back the player and hopefully he can come good like i think he can.

I think that alot of people are just peeved because he isn't a 'big name' signing, but honestly if you look past that then the lad has the ability to hold his own in our striking line-up.
Hopefully i'm right and by this time next season he will be praised and not ridiculed!!
Come on... he's joining us now and he wants to help improve the clubs fortunes, so let's stop the whinging and start supporting eh.
