Dirk kuyt - Peace everyone

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

It's interesting how Kuyt gets so much stick, we all know his limitations/abilities which wouldn't
be so pronounced if he played as a striker.

If anyone should be getting stick, it should be Rafa for playing him out wide in a 4-4-2.

well he scored about 70 odd goals in just over a hundred games for them if i remember rightly.

He goes past players all the time?

What players?

Teammates?

I have never seen Kuyt take on and beat his man. If you say otherwise that is a lie.

well I can CLEARLY recall him beating a player on 2 different occasions on Sat alone. so either you didnt see the game, you are lying or typically for the anti-Kuyt you just plain ignore the facts

This is amazing. Now he gets credit for beating his defender!!!!!!!

Absolutely amazing. I only want what is best for LFC. Kuyt is not best for LFC.

Bye bye Kuyt.

Which surely counts for nothing now

I'm well aware of his record thanks (you even mentioned it when comparing him to Berbatov). I merely pointed out he failed to score in the few games I saw and didn't stand out

so you judged him on just a couple of games in holland as opposed to his overall record ? i watched a few late night games as well and he looked very good and scored a fair number of goals.

I never judged him on that, how can you judge a player on a few games in a poor league? He certainly never stood out so I never really formed an opinion except for being slightly surprised he had such a good reputation. I thought he had a decent first season, a few labelled him as sh!te so I payed closer attention next time around, and it turns out I agree. I guess it takes some of us longer to realise.

KEZMAN had more than a goal a game there, but since about one in 4, so his record has no relevance regards the dutch league.

Simple fact he was bought as a forward and forwards are supposed to score GOALS, not just work hard especially, for £10m, plus around £2.5m a year salary.

Or people just actually dont think he is :censored: cause thats an insult to a decent prem and international footballer as he is obviously not :censored: . No one calling him world calss - he is a decent prem football player .Im sorry but there arent really many :censored: footballers in the prem - to get there in the first place they have to at least be decent.

Sh!t is a tad harsh, maybe. A bit of hyperbole helps to get a point accross sometimes as I'm sure you're well aware.

Decent prem player perhaps, made for Bolton or Wigan I'd say. Do you think Arsenal, Chavs or Mancs would touch him?

and he has scored goals and created them - at the moment he going through a bit of a barren patch in league but has shown he can score in the prem and europe. and dont give a monkeys about his price tag - people have arrived in this league for more and not scored as many as him .
