I'll be on the old Prem plus but thanks mate all the same. Come to think of it I'm sooo glad I've got that Prem plus because I almost certainly wouldn't have been able to get the stream thing to work and would have ended up smashing the computer.

Quite predictable, seeing as the European game is just a couple of days away.

I didn't expect Warnock to start on the left of midfield.

Couple of points:

- What’s all this rubbish about us being negative because we play 1 upfront? The attacking approach has very little to do with formation, it’s all about mentality and how many men your willing to commit forward, how many men will get ahead of the man on the ball and how many risks players are willing to take. We use a very structured formation, which means players don't really get caught out of position much, but it also means that our attacking players are a bit predictable movement wise. I believe that Rafa is still searching for his 3 attacking players, a striker to lead the line, and 2 quality wide players to play of him, when we get these players sorted I'm sure we will be a much more attractive side to watch.

- Its way to early to be worrying about league positions, so what if we could be 18th by tomorrow, win our 2 games in hand and we could go into the top 4. It’s too early for that kind of stuff, just take every game as it comes.

- Its true that this is the type of game we need to win if we our to make progress, but I’m not so sure it will be as easy as some our making out. We may win but it will be tough, how many easy wins do we get?

that line up still looks like Rafa wants a draw at least - 2 left backs in the side? I hope it turns out to be a more attacking set up than it looks.

This looks most likely:

                Reina

Josemi  Hyypia  Carragher Traore

Pongolle Alonso Hamann Warnock

               Gerrard

               Crouch

But wouldent be surprised if we went for the old 5-3-2:

                    Reina

         Hyypia Carragher Traore
Josemi                                 Warnock
             Alonso      Hamann
                   Gerrard

             Pongolle    Crouch

Outside bet is a 4-4-2 with Gerrard on the right:

               Reina

Josemi  Hyypia  Carragher Traore

Gerrard Alonso  Hamann  Warnock

          Crouch Pongolle

What the hell has happened to Zenden, has he already fallen out of favour? Injured? Why play Warnock at left midfield when we have 2 better options in Zenden and Riise?

I don’t think there is any need to rest players, we have 3 full days in between this and Chelsea game, plus it is minimal travel, so it should be best team out for both games. Maybe he is being over cautious about the threat of Pennant, but even if he was, wouldn’t it make sense to play Warnock at LB and Riise at LM. And what is the point of going with Josmei and RB when Finnan is fine and there is plenty of recovery time before the next game.

Some strange decisions in my opinion, hope they don’t back fire, we need to win this game, most of the responsibility to get a goal will be on Pongolle, Gerrard and Crouch.

But at the end of the day, Rafa knows better than us (well he is supposed to), so lets hope for a positive result.

We're not playing badly

Pushing up well, and having the most of the ball.

It's got 2-0 written all over it.
