The amazing thing about this thread is that you've picked one from a list of only five bad signings by souness, SAINT   i bet it was a struggle to remember the good signing.

I thought the same, and Burrows wasn't exactly Kenny's worst buy.

Because I'm not too long fan of Liverpool I know not all the Best and Worst buys. But the coach Rafa Benitez have any good transfers. Per example Xabi Alonso. But de Dutch defender Jan Kromkamp was also a great player. But in Liverpool he is not so great as he was on the Netherlands. By AZ he was the best defender of the right over the competition.

I disagree, i believe crouchy should be up there as one of his best signings.

He is one of the reasons why we finished so high in the league IMO.
He brings players into play. Causes problems for defences, etc.
I genuinely believe if we did not have crouchy this season we would of struggled to finish top 4.

yckatbjywtbiastkamb I would have to agree with you Carter was a worse buy than Burrows. I had forgotten all about him. I wonder if Arsenal have forgiven us for selling him to them lol. I didnt see much of K.McDonald (he was always injured) was he so bad ? I think it was Kenny that signed him but it may have been Fagan. and Kozma im ashamed to say I cant even remember (did we buy him from scotland?)

yeah we got kozma from hearts or somewhere like that, i think he`d scored twice against rangers when souness was managing them.
he was hungarian i think, deffo east european anyway.
he was described by souness as a playmaker, i think in kozma`s case that is the most liberal interpretation of the word i`ve ever come across.
if you cant remember him you didnt miss much.

Crouch is a good player but the reason he was an average signing is simple.

For Seven million pound he could have had an awful lot better.

He picked up a better player on a free transfer aswell.

I'm quite annoyed to be honest we signed Crouch and Dean Ashton has ended up at West Ham for the same money.

Don't get me wrong, Crouchie has done well and isn't a bad player, but he's very limited and isn't going to score 20 goals a season consistently.

Worst: it's a tie for me between Cheyrou and Diao purely on the basis that they are so cack that, not only can they not get a game for us, but that we can't find anyone (not even Prem bottom-feeders or Ligue 1 also-rans) to take them off our hands FFS!
