The Press (bless 'em) not content in expending most of their time and effort pointlessly lauding the fortunes of the National side - Ingerlund - this summer in South Africa. And how green and ancient our mountains truly are. Of how we will 'fight them on the beaches, the landing pads - and in the backstreets after a dozen Stella's'  - All that guff....

when in reality?

re: (a Month long jolly-up with all expenses covered, loads of back slapping, grotesque 'swinging' parties with women who apply their make-up with a trowel and who stink of lavender/lily of the valley...and pi55.  Plenty of nudge-nudge-winky-wanky 'ing' in the spirit of 'good old blighty' - hurrah!

Not to mention the surreptitious transit of many a brown envelope added to a fair amount of clandestine midnight 'jiggery-pokery' akin to a game of 'spin-the-bottle' regarding 'who can make up the most bullsh1t newsworthy piece in 5 minutes' about...well, anything really. Don't matter, as long as its attempting to decimate some poor sod's career)

They will always make time for a spot of LFC, and in particular, Rafa Benitez bashing. Don't you fret.

...its in their remit.  :glare:

I simply cant wait for the obligatory British Bulldog pictures to appear on the front of the National papers ,inspiring the boys to another weak attempt at surviving a penalty shoot out ,in yet another Quarter final against vastly superior opponents   Yes roll on the Summer ....

God i don't know what i'm going to do , cant stand the fella like . Suppose we are gonna have to start being nice to one another again . Come back Heimdall lad and join the group hug .

Benitez is just a manager.

You'll see a good few more come and go before you shuffle off your mortal coil.

...and if whomever comes in as Benitez's replacement (no matter how special they are) fucks things up, then I'me sure there will be talk of it too on the boards.

That's what they're for.

:censored:in hell...some people on here talk about Benitez like he invented LFC or something.

i just don't get it.

If you read the post properley you see that it was tongue in cheek comment  regarding the arguements that occure on here over rafa . Like i say , once he's gone we'll have to start being nice to one another . Get it now. ffs . Not every post on here has to be a derogatory one does it .  :no

Then you need one of these...

:D

With all the bollox talk that goes on in here it's difficult to know who's being serious and who isn't.

Rafael Benitez would make radical changes at Juventus should he join them from Liverpool in the summer, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian paper forecasts wholesale changes and exits for a number of top players to accomodate Benitez's plan for a 4-4-2 system, and the arrival of Fernando Torres.

David Trezeguet, Amauri, Sebastian Giovinco and Vincenzo Iaquinta are likely to vacate the attacking department. The only certainty to remain is Alessandro Del Piero, the club legend whose contract expires at the end of 2011.

Reports this week claimed Benitez has been promised an €80 million transfer kitty. And, he will use this to buy two top-class wingers to suit his 4-4-2, and bring Torres with him from Liverpool.

Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini and Wolfsburg man Edin Dzeko are also targets should the Reds stand in the way of progress for the Spanish international.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport are reporting that John Elkann, heir to the Juventus throne, wants Benitez at all costs, and that Benitez has convinced his assistant coach Sammy Lee to follow him to Turin.

I think this is the report that Ciggy was referring to (in English). If he takes Torres with him....... I for one will never forgive him. Without a doubt Rafa's best signing and our best hope for the future.

WTF?

Why didn't he play a bloody 4 4 2 at Liverpool?

He gets to spend $80 mil plus get Torres?  Does the reporter expect Liverpool to let Torres go without a transfer fee at all? Didn't realise Torres was Rafa's lap dog that would follow him everywhere.

Clearly the reporter has no clue because if he ever watches Rafa, he knows he never would play 4-4-2 all seson.

I think Rafa will go to Juve, I think the only players that would follow him are Lucas and Kuyt.

It should be academic anyway as he'd be sacked in any other season but for the focus being on the clubs ownership.

Hope the rumours of him going to Juve are true
