Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

even if we WIN the Europa League, it won't be enough. However, with a bit of luck, it will make another club make a move for him and save us 20 million in clearing out Rafa and his staff.

We win a home game(where we are always very strong and play reasonably well) and everthing is rosy and there really is nothing wrong, then we play away the next game and play like vs Wolves, Portsmouth, Brum, Wigan etc and everything is wrong and doom is hanging over us.

One player has a good performance and that player is celebrated totally forgetting his previous 5-10-15 :censored: games.

Where is the perspective?
Has anything really changed with one game?
Has that player become good/bad after one game?

I am not saying don't be sad/happy about loss/win but after a game vs for example Wigan it doesn't matter what postive thing you say and you get shot down and after a win vs for example Benfica saying anything negative is blasphemy.

The only thing to have really changed is that we now KNOW that this team is still capable of great performances. That we still have players that can compete with the best, and that while we have a few gaps and players who will never be at the standard we require if they play as a team they can get results.

I have always believed we have a team that is much better than what they have shown throughout this season, that while investment and new players would be welcome, this team is capable of so much better than the results and performances we have seen.

Yes, we have yet to see them really perform to that level away from home, but at least its a start.

I am still buzzing from last nights performance , something that has been all too rare up to now this season.

The questions are:
What would a different manager, a good one, do with this team? How would he set up? What formation and tactics would he use?
On our day we have proven we can beat ANYONE. We just dont have the consistency. I believe this is because of the manager. Others will differ.

Nothing new changed yesterday - Rafa and the team proved that on their given day they can meet an obstacle and beat any team.
However in Rafa's time here I dont think even the loyalist of Rafa supporters can say we have progressed in the league ! It's easier to prove we've become worst !!!! and gone backwords!!!

:D. In all seriousness I did hear the die hards trying to get the chant going a few times but it petered out to nothing very quickly. I don't FWIW think it's too significant, if we were to win this competition I'm pretty sure it'd be pretty loudly sung then.

The reality is that while many have swung onto an anti Rafa slant, they aren't "lifers" and could be swayed by a few good results or the odd decent performance. My guess is that Rafa will DEFINATELY still be in charge next season (see earlier posts) and that this time around we will get into the top four without too much fuss and have another cup run. That should be enough to keep most happy I should have thought.

Enough time for you to change your tune and get back on the Rafa brigade?  :D

I think it's time to revoke Micks Anti-Rafa Club membership.

Thanks for the support , NO!!

A one rare moment that is :D, he rarely shows happiness when we are winning :D.He should be more like Mourinho, or that kid... what was his name...... oh Ferguson, right :D.

Dont mind Morinho, that's a bloody good start in learning how to celebrate a goal!

What are you two even talking about? The thumbs up was to the ref for overruling that spastic of a lineman who obviously hasn't a clue about the rules of the game. It was almost a sarcastic jibe.

It was in the second half mate, either after Torres first or second goal (I think it was after our fourth)

It was after the fourth goal right at the end of this clip
