Mick so what your saying is because i believe in Rafa i am also supporting the owners , So if i turned on Rafa and got loads to turn at the match then the owners would sack him , yes,
Because Rafa is not mouthing off or showing his contempt or jacking the job in the owners are quite happy to have him there because they would save money on his payout, Yes
So you want a new fella to come in and stand up to them, even if they give him no money. Yes
You are under estimating the mentality of people who go the game imo. We are not fooled Mick not by Rafa or the owners.

I'm not asking him to agitate either, I'm simply pointing out the fact that this myth that he is somehow the manefestation of the worse nightmare for the owners is palpably of the urban variety. He plainly isn't a thorn in their side as some try to make out, as I've said before he is actually for a number of reasons absolutely ideal for them as a manager at this stage.
If the owners were efectively forced by fan power to get rid of the manager (it won't happen) they'd be absolutely gutted. Not for Senor Benitez, they'd be gutted at having to shove another 16-20 million quid into the pot. The fans backing Benitez is a great result for them, pure and simple.

There isnt a hope he could justify getting 16 million and then getting a further 16 million over 4 years with juve or real - i think the term in undue enrichment !
as i said i only ever half listened in class
Not sure exactly how much he would get, but it would be certainly less than £16million. Houllier got the full payout because he wasn't looking to go straight back into management , which I would presume Rafa would. Usually a figure is agreed between the club and the manager.
The only way Rafa would get the full amount is if he said he was not going to work for the length of the contract. I think £2million is a bit low though mate, I would have expected somewhere around £8-10million myself.
