I agree its not good enough

I dont blame Lucas or Mascherano for it, they are defensive midfielders and they cant just suddenly change the way they play. Rafa should always have attacking menality from the midfield which is why Aquilani should play in the Gerrard role and move Gerrard alongside Mascherano and play as a box to box midfielder.

Lucas isnt really a defensive mid,he`s supposed to play the box to box role. He just offers a little more in defence than Aquilani.

GOOD NEWS FOR RAFA !!

Hiddink to take charge of Turkey

(Sports Network) - Experienced Dutch coach Guus Hiddink has confirmed that he will leave his current position with Russia when his contract expires at the end of June to become Turkey's new manager.

The 63-year-old, who enjoyed a productive spell in charge of Chelsea last season, guiding the club to victory in the FA Cup final and to the semifinals of the Champions League, steps down from his current position after failing to guide Russia to this summer's World Cup in South Africa.

Hiddink has agreed to a two-year deal with Turkey with the option of two more years.

"The Turkish Football Federation chairman and vice chairman met Mr. Hiddink in Amsterdam (Tuesday) and agreed on a deal of four years, of which two years will be optional," read a federation statement.

Hiddink had been tipped to return to the Premier League in the summer with speculation linking him with the managerial position at Liverpool.

He has a wealth of international experience, having guided the Netherlands to the World Cup semifinals in 1998, South Korea to the last four in 2002 and Australia to the knockout stage four years ago.

They've attracted a fair few high profile managers/players/mercenaries in recent years. You wonder if it has anything to do with the money.

Looks like Uncle Roman said no.

Wouldn't want him anyway tbh. He is too old and is overated imo. We already have a world class manager too.

:censored:.

Thats us stuck with Rafa? I still dont think so, i hope more than anything that he is gone at end of season. Bring in Rijkaard or jose. MON would be my ideal. He'd get us going long term.

No more rafa for me. I wont change, i lost patience long ago. Why he wont put gerrard in the centre with javier? He's lost me.

Wealth of experience  ???  so basically he will take any team to a semifinal (except if you are Australia)

I know we have no money but if by some miracle some rich Arab was to plow millions into our club in the summer would you really want Rafa in charge of spending it?

His last 10 signings

£17.5m – Glen Johnson - HIT
£17.1m - Alberto Aquilani - MISS
£2m – Sotirios Kyrgiakos - HIT
£160,000 – Daniel Ayala
Free – Philip Degen - MISS
£7m - Andrea Dossena - MISS
£3.5m – Diego Cavalieri - MISS
£1.5m – David N’gog - HIT
£19m – Robbie Keane - MISS
£8m - Albert Riera - MISS

I haven't rated Ayala because its too early to tell yet but there are to many misses

Some of them have been atrocious signings - Keane, Dossena, Aquilani and Cavalieri, 3.5 million on a reserve keeper when we are skint. Of the 3 HITS i gave Ngog has got one, he has done well but there is being far too much asked of the young man and again this is down to Rafa.

Not good enough - please dont give this man anymore money - please

I think it's too early to call Aquilani a miss. We all knew he wouldn't really get into form until at least next season but most here were deluded enough to think he could settle a lot quicker, not to mention he was coming of a major spell on the sidelines.

As for Riera yeah he hasn't played that much this season but last season he was top draw. Was sometimes lacking in consistensy but he gave us more options on on the left and was instrumental in a lot of good results, results that gave is a record points total. I don't know what's gone on with him this season, maybe something behind the scenes who knows.

Your looking at it all wrong mate. When he has been allowed to spend what he wants on a 1st choice pretty much all the time he gets it right. Those misses are mostly bargain basement players.
