POOL STARS IN FILM FEATURING DRUNK `FERGIE`

A new wave of antipathy between Liverpool and Manchester United is set to break out over a film which stars Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher and depicts Sir Alex Ferguson as a whisky-drinking drunk considering his own suicide.

The film, Fifteen Minutes That Shook The World, is described as 'a darkly humorous, fictional account of the events that inspired Liverpool's fightback against AC Milan in the Champions League final in Istanbul in May 2005'.

United's expected fury at the depiction of Ferguson, so it' is journo :censored: then - reporting something that hasn';t even actually occurred? and that of Gary Neville as a 'rat' who 'hates scousers', is likely to be compounded by the decision of Rafa Benitez to attend Monday's premiere along with Gerrard and Carragher.

According to The Times, 'In one scene, a Ferguson parody called McTaggart rings a Neville lookalike, wearing a United No 2 shirt bearing the name "Rat Boy" on the back, to celebrate Liverpool trailing Milan by three goals.

'"Rat Boy", whose features were digitally enhanced to make him more ratlike, responds by singing about how he "hates Scousers", an ironic nod to the song that United fans chant about Neville's widely perceived dislike of Liverpool.

'When word comes through that Liverpool have drawn level, McTaggart is seen swigging furiously from a bottle of Scotch, which has the words "Manager of the Month but not as good as Bob Paisley" on it. He then tries to put his head in a noose only to be thwarted when the gum bubble he blows explodes over his face.'

United have yet to comment on the film.

I can't say I was too thrilled with Rafa's comments after the game. He sounds more and more like Houllier with ever setback.

"The players worked so hard. You could see that, even with a lot of problems, we were winning and, even after we conceded the first goal and then the second, you could still see the character of the team."

"In the circumstances I thought we were very good."

We have now won one game out of 10, and if we don't win our next game we are out of the CL. (we are already depending on Lyons to save us). I am praying for a good draw in the FA CUP.

We are out of the league already as well, but its not Rafa's fault he has had no money and a lot of injuries. We are level with Sunderland on points , but they have spent much more than us and have a much stronger squad so its not really a fair comparison. Stoke are getting close to us now, but they have spent millions more than us and have such a strong squad that its only Rafa working miracles that has kept us clear.

FFS how can we compete with these teams when they have multi-million pound players and we don't.

We concentrated quite hard on the Champions League that season for obvious reasons, and we also were in the middle of the biggest rotational experiment English football had ever seen. You're right though, we have definately improved from then, as you would expect for a team which has spent as much money as we have and which has included Steven Gerrard at his peak. The question is not whether or not we have improved, but have we improved enough, and will Rafa ever win us the title?

Now people often quote Rafa's first season as the benchmark, simply because it was such an awful effort in the league and it makes it look like we're coming on in leaps and bounds. The reality is different though. Rafa took over a ramshackle lot from Houllier true enough, but Houllier managed to get them into fourth place the previous season even without Alonso, Garcia and the rest. Rafa of course couldn't get us into the top four, but we were a bit better than that I think. We actually got the same number of points as Bolton in Rafa's first season. Nobody will ever convince me that Rafa's team was not a better side than "Big Sam yeah's :buttrock " outfit. We finished three points ahead of Middlesboro'. It truly was an absolutely awful effort, and lest we ever forget and decide to return to a mass stylothon it is written in stone in the form of the league table for all to see. That wasn't an indication of how bad the team were, it was an indication of how wrong we got it IMHO.

The following season we definately improved and got ourselves to within nine points of the winners (Chelsea). Crucially, we were only one point behind the Mancs at that point (after Rafa's second season). We also won the FA Cup. In the following two seasons we won feck all and finioshed a mile back. Last season we did better, still winning feck all but getting close in the league.

This season it's looking distinctly possible we'll win feck all again, and I don't think many people can see us getting as close in the league as we did last season and we may even miss out on the top four. It is even concieveable that after six years of the plan, the Rafalution, we could be right back where we started from except for the fact that in all probability we won't win the Champions League this season.

Now I know I'm not going to convince you or anyone else Bav, and I'm not trying. I'm simply pointing out that those who have doubts have extremely good reasons for doing so.

Spot on Mick
Why so many convince themselves that Rafa is some kind of miracle worker is beyond me!
Hes had more than enough time and money to be way passed the work in progress stage
Anyone who walked out of Anfield yesterday thinking we were unlucky is deluding themselves, in fact City will be kicking themselves they dropped 2 pts
We are a fkn shambles, and forget all the injuries or the owners excuses they dont wash anymore
Try working out why we play 2 defensive MF at home in a must win game? or carry on playing young Insua when the lad is struggling and has become a liability?
Ngog & Voronin as back up strikers?
And why the fk did we start with the biggest waste of space and money on the left wing yesterday?
And dont get me started on why Carra had to cover the RB slot because the other option being the amazingly average Deggan!

There I feel better now  :p

We are at such a low point that we are seriously content to draw at home to Man City and Benitez led us here.Insult to injury now being above Sunderland is considered an achievement.Benitez had led his team and support to this low point and looks like hes performed some kind of hypnosis on the kop who think hes some kind of messiah and cannot be replaced. How very wrong they are and what a shame they are allowing this man to keep dragging this great club further down with his abysmal player selection and football strategy.

Rafa must be hanging by a thread at the moment, when we get knocked out of the CL I think he may well get the axe as the owners must be getting very very concerned with our slide down the table. remember that we HAVE to qualify for CL football next year otherwise we are in very very serious trouble and at the some point the owners will have to try something new to secure that. Let's face facts at the moment things just aren't working, whether it be owners, players or manager but in those circumstances it is always the manager who gets swapped out first and I expect this to happen sooner rather than later, I for one can't wait. I am sick to death of Rafa now, he's had 5 and a bit years and we are falling apart because of his genius management style, please let him go to Real Madrid, at least we'll know how to score against them in corners.  :D

I'm starting to see a bright side if he goes...you'll have absolutely zero to talk about.  Sack Rafa and Heimdall goes silent--it's almost worth it.  :kungfu:

Let the curtain come down on this seasons CL
(we will do well to get a draw midweek)
Then let Daggers take charge, my money would be on a swift improvement that would show just how far Rafa is out of touch with the PL

If we dont have a change of manager sooner rather than later we will be out of all the cup competitions and playing for a mid-table place by january.  If any more money is given to Rafa he will only squander it on bad buys.....(he has been strongly linked with Upson from west ham?) another mediocre overated, and vastly overpriced at £12-14 million!...30 yrs old with no sell on value......thats the type of player rafa will waste more money on....give him no more.......just show him the Door! :nod
