Liverpool Football Club - Games

Not really thelad, this always happens with these types of friendlies.  The big team goes there and just overlooks them and the small team plays their hardest to show that they don't completely suck.  It's not a big deal but if we don't pick it up in the 2nd half i'll be a little dissapointed I would hate to lose 1-0 or 2-0.

Rafa has obivously told the players to run around a lot and close the ball down. I think he see's this as more of a warm up whereas Espanyol are being more competetive, not really doing any closing down.

The right attitude to have in a pre-season I think. We should see a much more competetive match against Atletico.

Not bothered if we lose, as long as we beat Spurs in our first game I'll take a 3-0 tonight.

I think its a good game so far, not like a friendly at all. I wish Javier would hold back a bit on his tackle though hes going in to hard for my liking

I think we showed enough to still be confident of a win. I think we are just a little disjointed, Johnson is maybe having to cover for San Jose a little more than he would like, Kuyt has hardly touched the ball and Dela Pena has been excellent for them.

The other thing I didn't like was when we went to two banks of four we had a lot of players losing their positions.

Why do we hang on to guys like Spearing?  It's pretty obvious that he does not have enough talent to play for Liverpool.

Not looking very pretty ia it??? Passing is very poor
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On
