This defence is very very poor, we look good going forward and in the midfield though, defo the best team so far is us.

We just need to calm down a bit and stop flying into tackles  ???

I don't think we have been poor in defence but san jose has been horrendous back there.

We've been outplayed in MF but unlucky not to have scored...
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

The passing has been terrible, they dont seem to know what to do with it and lack energy.

How many incomplete passes? Hhhmmmm....

We haven't really seen much from the new right wing partnership of Johnson and Kuyt. Hopefully they will show a little more in the second half (if they are still on)

Hopefully they will tire in the second half. Gillespie said they are a couple of weeks behind us in training.

And then? We will wait also for the Spurs to get tired? We should beat this Spanish side by 2-3 goals.

I'd like to see Babel and Johnson on the right, Kuyt isn't in the game.

Rafa probably won't take Kuyt off though.  No player should be immune from being subbed like he seems to be, especially when he's not playing well.

we cant seriously expect tp dictate the game from midfield with Lucas and Mascherano playing there... both lucky to still be on the pitch after going in late on tackles yet and again... we lacked creativity all around in the first half and i expect Rafa to tell the fullback to push on a little more.. we're not even managing to keep possession high up so that Torres would look to run behind defenders or to connect with Gerrard... Should bring Riera and Alonso on for Kuyt and Mascherano... Rieras good at bringing others into play and that should ensure we get a little more possession higher up...
