ESPANYOL VS LIVERPOOL - Sunday 2nd august 2009 8pm ko

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby stmichael » Thu Jul 30, 2009 1:10 pm

With all the talk of Xabi it's easy to forget that we're playing again on Sunday night in what will undoubtedly be our hardest pre-season game to date. I'm actually really looking forward to it.

Just hope Rafa puts out a strong team.

Man U were dire against Boca and Bayern, and lost on pens to Bayern in the 'final'. Owen was limping at some point as well.

anyway for this I'm just hoping to see a strong Liverpool side that includes Xabi Alonso

Yeh, Espanyol had suffered from the demolition of their old ground of Sarria, a typical stadium of Eastern Spain of the fifties

Then they went to the olympic stadium and they suffered from the track and field tracks in their atmosphere (those trácks mate are atmosphere killers).

And their new stadium is based, I think, in the english style stadium:

I think they deserve it. I have loads of respect towards this club and 98% of their fans (they have a fascist 2% but that don't speak for the decent people).

I do hope aswell that St Michael says we put a strong eleven for this occasion.

On another note, my old man is over in Spain at the moment and was keen to go to the game as he's not far from Barcelona.  Except the cheapest ticket he says is £65??  That seems bloody ridiculous for what is essentially a friendly game and quite rightly he's decided just to watch it in the pub over there.

If anyone knows of any cheaper tickets on the go let me know so I can get word over to him.  Would be greatly appreciated :)
