The good thing about it is that both players have 3+ years left to run on there contracts. Which means if barca or Madrid came calling then were talking silly money. But I wudnt sell any as I'd class that as a step backwards..

Thing is man city man u and chelski are all going to spend big and improve. If we can't compete then were :censored:

. But I thinks rafa has got it all sorted

If the worst came to the worst we shouldn't consider accepting below £30m for either, especially with the kind of money Real are throwing around.

It cost us 18 million to get Masher and in the three season we have had him he has improved a lot so nothing under 30 mil for him if he must be sold

Im not jokin Bav - 30 mil minimum - why fork out 18 mil for him 3 years ago then only sell him for 3-5 mil more .

I just can't see them offering that much period mate. Will have to wait and see. Also I don't think Rafa will sell anyone until we bring ina few bodies first.

Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano insists he is not about to join Barcelona.

The Argentina international has become a vital part of manager Rafa Benitez's plans since joining the Anfield outfit on a five-year contract in 2007.

That form is reported to have caught the eye of Barca, but Mascherano is unaware of any interest from the Champions League winners.

The 24-year-old angered Benitez at the start of May after confessing he was unsure over his long-term future, but he now has no doubts.

"I still have three years on my contract with Liverpool and I am happy there," he told TyC Sports.

"I am comfortable and thinking only of Liverpool. I don't know anything about an approach from Barcelona or any other club."
