Gerrard? :D

I don't think he is suited for that role.

Sarcasm?

No, His BEST position is as a Box to Box player, not an attacking midfielder.

Is anybody else worried about Mascherano's form?  Yesterday Lucas had a bad game, but Mascherano was really poor and he has been for some time now.  Where the hell is Mascherano of last season?

You guys have to realise that the owners are not complete morons, they must be more p1ssed of than we are at having financed the £20 million purchase of Keane only for him to be sat on his :censored: whilst we are incapable of scoring goals! If I was the owners I would be asking Rafa to explaining why we needed Keane.

Do you think Rafa's stupid?

Alonso or Lucas have played the box to box role all season. Gerrard has sat in behind a lone striker in nearly every match. At times, Newcastle for instance you would have thought it was a 4-4-2 as Scott mentioned. I think this is by far his best position.

Agreed. Hasn't been at his imperious best for most of the season. He does a lot of work that tends to go unnoticed but hasn't IMO produced the form of last year.

I'm worried that Rafa will still chop and change the teams even though we are top of the table.

We need the strongest team for every prem game barring injury, this is really in our hands
no more suprise negative line ups just to try and nulify the other team.

If we are gonna win this title we need to be positive and play our best eleven every week.

We can do it the players and manager just need to stay focused and believe.

To be fair, this can be said for a lot of our players, yet we remain beaten only once and are top. If some of our players form is somewhat off, and we haven't been playing well, then what can people say that is attributed to us being top of the table for so long? Luck? I don't think so. Luck can only carry you so far, and so far this season we've been at the top for the longest out of the top four. I think the reason we are so hard to beat is down to a lot of these so called crazy systems that Rafa deploys. Often they don't make sense, but they are working. We are a very hard team to beat. I'd say the hardest team to beat in the league. The defeat at Spurs was more of a fluke and a stroke of bad luck on our behalf. People forget that by anyone's standards that if you remain unbeaten by this time of the year, then that is a pretty high standard. Yesterday was only one of the few occasions this season where Rafa made a blunder in his formation and paid the price for it. However, that's not to say that it was an easy three points, because it wasn't regardless if we'd fielded a stronger line-up. Stoke are the new Bolton of old, only worse. They are so bad, they bring you down to their level.

Come off it Barry - you loved his little outburst.
You all did - too late now, it's been said.

He should have been smarter, he took the bait.

Rafa's outburst had nothing to do with league positions or beating Stoke, it was stating facts about the drunk scots cheating...
