Unless you were one of the boo boys?

i think you'll find my first post was one of optimism, i just accidently came across your spiteful vile. no i'm no boo boy, but your a tube.

Players getting boo'd by knobs in the crowd after a player is subbed, and even after the game earlier when the final whistle went. Anfield being like a morgue. That's not spiteful, that's a cold fact, man. Apologies if you took offense, but hey, it's nothing personal.

the player didnt get boo'd, the boo was for the decision to bring off the wrong player.

There's nothing quite like a couple of 0-0 draws to bring out the beast in some and the beauty in others ! :D

It's like a United Nations meeting in here sometimes with opposing views and reactions to the same result !

If this is what we are like in December whats it going to be like come April when all being well we are closing in on the Holy Grail :p

IS anyone else getting a little worried about United?

They are just creeping up the table and if they win their game in hand (which is at home to Fulham ) they will be only 3 points behind us.

Add to the fact they have been to liverpool, chelsea, arsenal, villa, everton, city and pompey. its going to be a very interesting second half of the season

You always have to worry about United.  They have been champions for the last two seasons ffs.

A win agaist Blackburn (which we`ll get) and Hull and things will look better, we was always going to have a blip now hopefully we`ve had it, and we are still top.
The mancs having to go to Japan is just the ticket, we need to be ahead of them when they leave and win every game while their away. I think its still a case of finishing above them.
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,

I can completely understand the atmosphere being muted in Anfield, what is there for the fans to get excited about, a couple of long range shots off target!
We are playing far too predictably with very little variation in tactics despite what some stats might say and that is totally down to Rafa and his coaching staff not having the knowledge or imagination to try new things, it's not good enough, we should have a healthy lead at the top of the table now instead of 1 point and Manure closing in on us fast.

Look I love your optimism but where are the goals going to come from, on paper Fulham and West Ham should have been easy 3-point games. What worries me is that we have gone from a team which created chances but didn't convert them to a team which can't create good chances against Fulham and West Ham. That scares me.

ok. i didnt watch the match but...in response to Em's comments about the booing......so what? top teams in Spain and Italy have to bear with booing for silly reasons. Barca doesnt win 2 games in a row boos start. i dont like booing but our players should be able to deal with it as they are pros, and besides, they fans are booing you. shouldnt it be a sign that you need to buck up ???

you're at a top club which expects more if the players find the booing hard to deal with then either they are just being pampered or the dont have the balls to step up the next level when the going gets tough. get into tackles. run at defenders. chase them. if you're gonna lose, or draw, at least show some effort. let the crowd know ''look, we tried but it just wasnt our day''. being liverpool fans im sure their efforts would have been appreciated.

Am I missing something here apart form a team capable of getting motivated by their manager and therefore able to score goals against fecking West Ham and Fulham at home!!
This is clearly just a poor joke now, I personally hope Rafa doesn't get the contract extension, he doesn't deserve it after the last few matches, in fact this season we have scraped a lot of narrow wins but haven't once truly controlled a match, we are arguably worse than the second half of last season, it's just that the other top teams are also wobbly at the moment but that won't last for ever.

Quality post this, but not in a good way. Benitez' statistics of substitutions making an impact in a game have been better than any manager in the league over the past 4 years. There was a very insightful thread about this over at RAWK with plenty of stats for all you stats whores and doubters. Do a bit of research before you start spouting off.

As for the game, I'm seriously disappointed with us not making up more ground than what we should be. Our confidence just seems a bit low at the minute for some reason. We're perhaps slightly just lacking a player, bar Torres of course, of being good enough to eventually win the title this season, but who knows. If we get to January and we're still top of the table, who could ask for more than that?

Oh, we all can have a go at the players and even the manager, but people seem to omit the fact that the fans inside Anfield have been f*cking shyte, lets be honest about it. There's some quality whoppers going to the game, and it's a disgrace that 1000 or so West Ham fans out sang everyone inside Anfield tonight. The players need to show passion, aye, but so do you w@nkers inside the ground. Where the f*ck has the atmosphere gone to that we're meant to be so famous for? Sort it f*cking out!

Try going to the game yourself you uptight arrogant peice of shite and spending thousands of pounds a year of your own money on traveling to games before you slag off the people that are going and contribute to the club.

Its not the fans that are producing rubbish lad. Its the team, the fans have :censored: all to shout about and even the usual noisey lads are finding it all a bit tedious under the current regime at times.

You are quite simply a grade "a" bellend.

Torres will no doubt turn into a sloth within a year

i agree with this post. rafa is so bloody stubborn. taking keane off every game. babel doesnt get a run in his fave position. playing 2 DMs. and the most annoying thing of all, lack of flair players.

Lots of people have also alluded to the idea recently that being top in December means absolutely nothing, the thing hasn't even started yet. If we win tonight (which we will) will those people begin to consider this a full and authentic title challenge, or will they still need more proof.

I know it's early and all that (actually it's not really), but we have been well and truly in contention for the title since we went to Stamford Bridge and played them off the park in my view. There is no jinx, provided Rafa doesn't prove Stu correct and pick a silly team we will comfortably beat these tonight which will put us in a unique position. We will actually be going into games knowing that if we win, we ratchet up the pressure on our chasers with each three points gained. Make no mistake about it, the Mancs and Chelsea are already thinking "next time we play them we've gotta turn em over" and so they should do. I'm telling you this, all things being equal if we were to win at Old Trafford it would put them under huge pressure to cartch us. If we beat Arsenal either Home or Away they are gone for all money. It's a nice position to be in, we just need to keep our heads and keep selecting sensible teams.

What were you saying? :no
