And I suppose Arsenal were expected to beat us as well weren't they? I suppose Chelsea were expected to beat Manchester City. Yes West Brom are the worst team in the Premier League but you don't underestimate the opposition, end of story.

I love the fact that we did not coast to a 2-0 victory, and went for the throat. Great stuff! Bad team or not. Good for the goal difference.

Well that was a good game.
we should of had a few more goals but we played well.
poor wb they are in a right bad state right now, we meet them at the right time it i think it done our team good to have a gamme like that to work on the passing bit of our game .

oh by the way why is Sinama Pongolle spending most of the game on the floor? i think we should club together and buy him some new studs.

right then:

the bad...

for the first half we were no better than them. we were lucky to get the penno because the ref didn't give them the free just before, and baros attempt was kinda pathetic. it was only in the second half when we were playing against 10 of the bottom club that we started to show any class.

the good...

after a nightmare first half pongy started to look pretty tasty.
nunez had his best game for us so far by a mile.
riise was on a blinder. what the f*ck was he on? should have got the hat trick.
garcia scored away from home - as a sub.
even though it was against 10 of the bottom club we the team should be feeling good after a 5-0 win.
we didn't sit back on 3-0 thinking it was enough - we went for the kill until the end.

on another note - being here in spain i was having a chat with a couple of spanich guys at half time. they were really slagging rafa - saying he's a p!ss poor coach obsessed with defensive football. always happy with going a goal up then defending it. they weren't at all impressed with his achievements at valencia last year. doesn't sound like the same rafa to me...

ha! i was thinking that too!

but a couple of times he got up again and kept the ball. and that left foot curler he tried in the second half was beautiful. if that had gone in it would have gone right to the top of my top 4 liverpool goals this season list.
