Obviously there is more to the game than goals, even though scoring more goals than your opponent is the only way to win games.

simple facts:

since going right wing as a team we have been awesomer than before.

we wouldnt get half what we paid for him so whats the point

he'd die for this club and his assit rate is getting decent

he needs to score goals

he looks a bit like sloth frmo the goonies

Looking at the pros and cons, it doesn't make sense to get rid, ergo, we keep him.

Why fix something that isn't broken? If we continue to win with him on the right, then I don't see why he has to be sold or dropped. I wouldn't have said this a few moths back, but I think that he deserves another year, because he has been one of our most important players in the CL.

You didnt say it, but you implied it. Then again I dont suppose you know what that means. Right wing is a position where 4 players at most in our squad could play there, so saying " no one else who can play there expect gerrard would track back like him" thats leaving 2 other options

And the other player who can play there is Yossi, and he does his fair bit of tracking back. So one option. Not leaving alot to beat is it.

It just doesn't matter what you say, Kuyt seems to be untouchable.

No matter that he was bought as a striker and has been an utter failure. Then he get placed out of position just so can play and gets no goals at all.
Something pennant constantly get stick for. He never scores enough for a winger and just gets assists.

But Kuyt?
The goals aren't important for a winger( which kuyt really isn't) as long as you work hard.
When other players mishandle the ball or make plays break down time after time again, they get flogged.

Kuyt?
Sure, he losses the ball and his offensive upside is zero, but
it is ok, cause works hard.

He has gotten chance after chance playing more than most other players, both as striker and winger, and never makes things happen.
Still everyone loves the hard worker.
It is just a matter of time. Way back he did score etc etc.
Who cares if he doesn't do it now.

One things for sure he`s a hell of a guy to have on your side in a scrap, you get an attacking and defencive player in one. Show me a forward who tackles as well as Kuyt and it can never be a bad thing having a player who would die for the club. Some people on here should show a little respect, you can find fault in anyone if thats all your looking for.
That said we STILL need to bring in true quality out wide for next season.

I personaly like him for those who says he dont have a first touch do you watch the games he is very good on the ball can pick out a pass and 7/10 can get a good ball in the box.

He has ok pace have good footballing brain and dont mind working for the team which as you know rafa likes in his 4-5-1 formation.

I can see him next season really settling down and getting more goals but like most impatiant kids who follow liverpool nowa days i am sure you all be calling for rafa to sell him start of next season and we might miss out one a lad growing in confidence.

Lets remeber about dirk every level he has gone up in football he has been a sucess and i am sure give him one more season and we might see a lad playing some of his best football.

That's what I noticed too, the guy has some good skills and he's also very good at holding up the ball. It seems like every game he is improving, even his passing is getting better.
