Thats just it, i said it myself about 100 pages back :D
Did Gillete not imply in that interview that he could be buying not selling? I wouldnt mind tbh along as the finance was there, he seems to understand the history and the fact this club needs to be challenging on all fronts.
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,

I seen that Woof all the time we remain in the Champions league more money for them two

nanny, if I heard rightly on Sky Sports News, the team who come bottom of the premiership this season earns more money than the winners of the champions league, all to do with the new sponsorship deal the prem has.

So those who were saying that it's more important to progress in europe than it is to try and win the league because of the finicial side of things are totally wrong.

As for the yanks and DIC, it couldn't get any worse or more boring could it? I'm sick to death of hearing these little rumours that DIC are joining, when are we going to get some concrete evidence that things are moving forward. Each new rumour loses more credibility because sod all has happened.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has revealed he has lined up moves for three new players for next season.

Benitez says he is already planning for next season and has set up deals for three new arrivals.

The Spaniard's revelation outlines his belief that he will remain at Anfield next season despite continuing reports linking Benitez with a move back to Spain.

Benitez revealed that two of the arrivals will be young players, while the third signing will be a senior star set to go straight into the side.

"We have agreements with two young players and one senior player who will be a starting XI player," Benitez told The Mail on Sunday.

"That deal is already done. We are also making plans for our preseason tour and talking to players here about new contracts."

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Schalke's Brazilian full-back Rafinha and the two other targets are believed to be from South America.

Strange that they are making deals with all the uncertainty. So who is ok-ing the deal Hicks, gillett or DIC?

this is the third time I've seen this story on here. OK we're getting some new players, we all knew we'd sign someone. Can we just sort of wait for a bit more info before someone decides to post it up for a fourth time?

This business of death threats to mr Gillette is pure scandal and I was disgusted.

Obviously a section of LFC fans are to blame for this.

There are ways to do things, and ways to do things etc.

these guys are professional businessmen, not idiots.

Those fans should hang their heads in shame.

morons

DIC, Hicks and Gillett ready for crisis talks  -  Monday March 31 2008

Liverpool co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett are due to meet with a representative from Dubai International Capital, in the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

It is understood that it will be the first time all three parties have shared the same room, meaning that the drama on the pitch of the Champions League quarter-final between Arsenal and Liverpool could easily be surpassed by tensions off it.

DIC remain optimistic that they can still launch a successful takeover and yesterday there were signs that the Liverpool power struggle was moving into its final phase. It has emerged that the pressure on Hicks may heighten in the coming weeks due to the possible need for him to refinance other assets. Market sources predict that the pressure of the global credit crunch could well force Hicks's hand.

Hicks has so far refused to do business unless he can retain a controlling stake but Gillett has made it clear that he will not sell to his partner.

Gillett does, however, regard DIC as "very responsible" possible owners and last week admitted to a Canadian radio station that his relationship with Hicks had been "unworkable for some time''.

Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry has urged some sort of swift resolution. "My plea is that something happens this week,'' he said.

"There is a need for a degree of urgency but it is urgent to get it right, not urgent to come up with the wrong solution.
"I think George was pretty clear in stating the relationship between the two of them had broken down and, as a result of that, an alternative solution needs to be found.
"There is no question that to succeed you need unity at the top. I think it brings it to a head. All things are possible at the moment. Someone has to sell, that is clear if they are not able to co-exist.''

The uncertainty over the club's ownership has placed a question mark over Rafa Benitez's future as manager, although Parry has said that he believes the Spaniard can transform his great success on the European stage to the Premier League.

"We are very conscious that, from every Liverpool fan's point of view, the League is the big, big goal and that is the one we would really like to win,'' he said. (© Daily Telegraph, London)

Parry tells warring Liverpool FC owners that one of them must sell upMar 31 2008
by Richard Down, Liverpool Daily Post

LIVERPOOL FC chief executive Rick Parry has told warring club owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett that one of them needs to sell up.
His comments follow Gillett’s revelations that his partnership with fellow American Tom Hicks had become “unworkable”.
Speaking on national BBC radio, Parry said: “If they're not able to co-exist, then there needs to be a solution where one buys and one sells, or both sell.

“There aren't too many other possibilities, but it's pretty clear that to carry on with the status quo is extremely difficult.
“There is no question that to succeed you need unity at the top, unity at the club, and everyone pulling in the same direction.
“Without that, it is extremely difficult to progress and it is clear from what George has said the unity is not there.
“George has been pretty unequivocal in what he has said. You have to think he thought long and hard before coming out with the statement he made on Friday, it did not leave room for doubt.”

The chief executive is reported to be pleased the admission brings the situation to a head, but insists immediate action is needed.

Well it's a fairly neutral territory, and I guess both Hicks and Gillett are over for the game. It sort of makes sense but is probably being over dramatised.
Maybe this will all be done and dusted by the end of the week, even if it isn't I feel very confident this will all get resolved quickly, Banayoun must be the only person rooting for Hicks  :D
