Parry tells warring Liverpool FC owners that one of them must sell upMar 31 2008
by Richard Down, Liverpool Daily Post

LIVERPOOL FC chief executive Rick Parry has told warring club owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett that one of them needs to sell up.
His comments follow Gillett’s revelations that his partnership with fellow American Tom Hicks had become “unworkable”.
Speaking on national BBC radio, Parry said: “If they're not able to co-exist, then there needs to be a solution where one buys and one sells, or both sell.

What a :censored: groveller that Parry is All this time hes never opend his gob now it looks like somethings happenin he resurfices . The Gobs.ite should start clearin his desk cause hes gonna be the first one out the door.

Who is actually runnin our club at the mo

I dont know whether Parry´s comment is support for either Hicks to sort out Gillett, or after hearing the Gillett interview on teh radio, support for Gillett to squeeze Hick´s balls into submission. Or for DIC to DIC them both. Utterly confusing !!

Concerning Parry, I´m sure he will happily walk away from LFC as soon as this BS is resolved and the new owners give him a golden parachute. No man in his right mind would want to stay on.

God knows how Moores has kept his mouth shut for more than a year ffs.

Ripped from rawk again , so apologies. This is where the rumour started.

I was at a function yesterday after the derby match and listened to  Q and A session from Thommo.
He started of by saying he knows for a fact that David Moores n Rick Parry have been refused tickets to the game on wednesday by the Yanks. Apparently the club is allocated 30 tickets for the board menberS etc and none will be going to Moores or Parry. They have been told they will have to go as fans or sit on the bench with Rafa.

Now while i know we are all angry about the goings on this last year...facts are facts...and that is David Moores has served our great club for many many years and correct me if i am wrong he is an Honoury life president and rightly so. Rick Parry like him or not is still our Chief Executive. If the yanks didnt want that i presume they would have sacked the pair of them but they havent.

So what the hell are they doing stopping them attending our biggest match of the season. The papers will once again have a field day with this and drag our great name even lower.

Thommo's reaction?......  he said it was an absolute disgrace and shameful and that the sooner the yanks are kicked out of our club AND country the better. He was raging and i feel embarrassed about what he was telling us.

He will talk about it on Sky on wednesday and reckons the papers will be all over ot later today or tomorrow so brace yourself for more mud slinging..........i despair

Unless there's a change of heart, they might not be at the game at the Emirates as they haven't been given tickets by the Americans. I would have thought Parry would just be able to turn up without a ticket, but apparently they need to have tickets and the owners are not letting them have any.

I find this all a bit strange and hard to believe, but apparently it's true. They'll still end up going I reckon, as Parry will just get tickets off David Dein probably.

Rumour is theres 32 tickets, and the yanks have snaffled 16 a piece and not left any for Parry and Moores. They're mighty :censored: about it.

Sympathy will be in short supply, but I thought it was worth mentioning. The yanks are bringing loads of guests with them apparently

Well if it's true , i'm not suprised in the slightest .The yanks have shown little regard for the club ,it's history ,it's fans . So why would they show any regard towards (no matter what we think of coco and moores) the CEO and The Honoury Life President.

THere gonna have a big Hoe down at the Emirates. Well i just hope the fans that are going let the Yanks and DIC know how we feel . Protest at half time hopefully ,loud and clear.

I´d buy Moores a pint if the lad walked into our pub to watch the game.  Curley can watch it at home.

Tell me lads, how much lower and seedy can this debacle become??

Come on Nanny, Moores has been mugged as much as the rest of us, he must see a lifetime´s work go down the pan.

I´m sure there isnt a single night he doesnt lie in bed and wonder WTF went wrong. He must be extremely upset and depressed, its his and his father´s life. I bet he´d give the money back tomorrow to kick those yanks out.

They probably need those extra tickets for their bodyguards. Moores and Parry should go anyway and just stare them down and join in with the chants at half time for them to feck off, that would be washing dirty linen in public but would be priceless.  :buttrock  :buttrock

Reg i understand how you feel mate but at the end of the day Moores sold to them two cowboys noone had a gun to his head . The deal was done and dusted with DIC and then he saw the few dollar more signs and backtracked, He came out of it loaded so i for one have no sympathy for him, Sorry mate but thats how i feel

There's a very interesting interview with Rafa on the Times Online Podcast tonight, by Guillem Balague. It's kinda tied-in with Balague's interview with Rafa in the Times over the weekend, but contains different questions about future transfer plans etc. Once the interview is over Balague and Gabriele Marcotti talk about the takeover. Balague says that Tom Hicks will be at LFC for the next few years, or at least until he can sell his stake for 150million profit. So, that works out at about 325million pounds Hicks is looking for for his stake (greedy fat :censored:). As if that isn't bad enough, he says that Rafa has been told that he will have to sell in order to buy this summer. He says that his funds will come from the sales of Carson, maybe Alonso and Crouch, and a few other squad players who aren't featuring much at the moment. Apparently Rafa wants to buy a pair of full-backs, a winger (or 2 depending on cash) and a replacement for Alosno if he leaves. Balague also talks about the 3 players that are all but signed up for next season, the first team player is apparently a player that Balague/Marcotti talked about on this season's first Times Podcast- I'm afraid I have no links for the first podcast of the season, sorry.

The link for tonight's (monday night's) podcast is:

the Rafa interview is about halfway through.
