Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I'm getting sick of this DIC talk.

Does Hicks want DIC or not?

That's the big question.

If he can't afford to do anything with the club, he should just pull out and let the DIC move in.

Manhattan is a desperate man.

He'll have sex with anything.

One time, I cheated on my wife with a horse.

The strange thing is, I'm not married and don't know where I got the horse from.

Can we focus on the important news, that it again seems like DIC will buy Liverpool. I can see this happening now as Hicks and Gillett are in a world of trouble with the US economy at the moment.

How sweet would it be if Hicks is forced to sell by the banks  :wwww  :wwww  :buttrock

BTW The argument about new clubs struggling afgter building new stadiums is completely stupid, possibly they struggle in the short term, although that argument falls flat with Bolton pre Allardyce leaving and Arsenal, but in the long term they'll all benefit.

It could be that Southampton went down after their new stadium was built, not because it drained money, but rather because The Dell gave them an advantage and essential home wins, due to it's small size and atmosphere.

Southampton had been toying with relegation for years before they went down.

The Share Liverpool idea seems to be coming along nicely, i wonder if they have enough to become a small investor if DIC do buy Liverpool?

well I just hope they don't build the New Anfield off the coast...  :D

most people are amazed by all the developments that comes up in Dubai... I'm not impressed at all... just imagine the amount of damage they're doing to the environment... the buildings are not sustainable at all save by oil money... the latest is some rotating/twisting skyscraper... how much energy would you need to rotate that damn thing... absolutely ridiculous...

They won't need any energy. Each tower has wind turbines built in to provide enough energy for 10 towers.

Rotating tower

I think it's safe to say that if DIC do take over we'll be getting an extremely impressive stadium.
