Since when has money been free?
If you buy the shop down the road, the business will automatically have a debt repayment every month. We didnt get 350 million out of thin air, someone, somewhere within the G&H empire has to pay both the interest and repayment of the loan value - is 30 million simply interest or also includes repayment of the capital amount - ie are we repaying the debt as well as servicing it?
If just interest then you could pay we are better of than if LFC Ltd also had to pay off the capital loan but someone, somewhere is also repaying that value to the banks.
Dont get me wrong, I've changed my views and I want these busters out tomorrow but lets also remember that money aint free.

Secondly, David Moores and Rick Parry should hang their heads in shame. The whole thing is an insult to the literally millions of fans throughout the years who have spent much of their hard earned going through the turnstiles at Anfield and have built up the club so these two fools could allow it to be molested in the way that it cuurently is. They should be embarrased to show their faces at the scene of their heineous crime.

No the loan will almost certainly be interest only Reg. The accountants like the interest only loans for businesses as it allows the company to offset interest payments against it's taxable profit (at least I think that's the guts of what my bean counter told me whan I bought my business). He has since told me there's no point in paying off the capital value of the loan on the business, far better to steer any spare cash (as if) onto paying off the mortgage on the house.
The way I see it (and I could be talking absolute b0ll0cks here), the owners are in a kind of win win situation. If we can't pay off the interest on the loan, they personally are not liable as it's held by this KOP LTD front thing. We'd probably either have to sell a significant amount of our assets (ie players such as Torres and Gerrard), cut down significantly on our outgoings (sell some players to reduce the wage bill) or alternatively, they could flog the club to somebody rich enough to wipe out the debts and give them a nice klittle pay off. If on the other hand we are successful and can service the loan, the value of the club goes up and they'll be able to sell it for more, as well as the fact that they'll pocket a few million a year in straight skims. A classic win win situation.
Two things spring to mind here. Firstly it can't be beyond the realms of possibility for the government to put legislation in place which prevents the possibility of sporting institutions whose asset base is entirely the result of years of fan worship being raped of their heritage like this. In this context, since buying out Liverpool with George Gillette in February, Tom Hicks has teamed up with Gatehouse Capital to develop hotels and luxury condominiums in Dallas and Los Angeles. He has also bought a 40% stake in Safemed, a company that optimizes clinical decisions based on a number of patient attributes.

In June 2007, Hicks entered the SPAC market. Special purpose acquisition companies are blank check or shell companies which raise money from the public with the sole mission of buying a company — whose identity is unknown at the time of the I.P.O. The deal making prowess of the manager is central to the perceived success of the SPAC. Hicks Investments, the SPAC started by Tom Hicks looks to raise $400m. He has since raised $552m but is still looking for a company to buyout. As per the IPO prospectus he has another year and a half to do this otherwise the SPAC will be liquidated and the money returned.
