So yes, Mr. Hicks, you gave away $24 million for practically nothing when you signed Juan Gonzalez, but that's hardly the worst thing you've ever presided over as the head of the Texas Rangers. This list could probably have been longer before we even reached the Gonzalez signing. It's nice that you're angry with Gonzalez for being constantly hurt, but your anger is a bit misplaced. Let us suggest a target for your ire: yourself

He is clearly bemused by my line of questioning. Is the recent poor performance by Hicks' private equity firm -- Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst -- connected in any way to the poor performance of his sports teams, the Dallas Stars and the Texas Rangers?
"The mistake the media and the analysts all make is trying to connect the dots," Hicks tells me. "The two have nothing to do with one another."
"Except that you're in charge of both of them," I reply.

All of these teams have become businesses in the past 20 years,” Hicks said. ” … This business has to do with fan affinity and brand devotion. It doesn’t necessarily have to do with winning.”

The window cleaner in the stanley park area would be mortified at that stadium , what were they thinking of , his family would have starved. Anyway i heard on the qt that he personally ratified the HKS proposal. By the way the window cleaners name is joey hicks , coincedence , i think so.
