1st baros
2nd cisse
and now Crouch....

I am pretty sure crouch will go in jan....

The thing is we don't have strikers who can head the ball well if crouch leaves (yeah..crouch stinks at heading but he does get quite a few headers on target)...

Kuyt is woeful at heading...
Voronin is woeful at heading....
Babel - i don't know what position he will be playing in....
Torres - Heading is not his strength...

So expect us to $uck even more at corners...

BTW ...the only attacking player who is good at heading is injured at the moment... - Kewell....Can't wait for him to come back...

Crouch rarely plays for England, as Rooney and Owen are the preferred players, so I feel you’re off the mark with this point.

Crouch wants to be playing regular first team football like most players and he clearly isn’t getting this at Liverpool. So he’ll be off once Benitez finds a replacement.

He's about our best offensive header of the ball.

I'd say heading is one of his strengths.

F*cking Hell Fire. So now we're siding with a "Lanky streak of p*ss" who's "Not good enough for this club" over our manager?

I hope he goes in January, he is not good enough. I don't think Vorinin is good enough either, I watched him play against us (Scotland) last week for Ukraine and he was dreadful, and he was dreadful yesterday, both as striker and as a right back.

Shame really, Man Utd have got 2 good strikers, we seem to only have 1, but I think Babel should play as a striker, he looks uncomfortable in the wing, but the lad has quality, like that goal against Derby showed.

Also, Kuyt, I like him but he doesn't seem prolific and doesn't really play as a striker, but he's good at penalties.

Fair play to Crouch he's came in, worked his :censored: off, scored some important goals...A likeable chap but not good enough for Liverpool! I wish him the best of luck but I certainly won't miss him.  Kuyt won't be far behind him if he doesn't start finding the net from open play...£10m player, needs to do better!

hope he is off in the window, but we will probably sign someone in replacement, a younger player more than likely

Personally, I'm starting to think that the way this man is being treated at the club is nothing short of a disgrace. I'm not the biggest fan of Crouch in the world, but looking at this season's stats compared to Kuyts, it's a farce that the man hasn't gotten more games than he has. Kuyt, after yesterday, has only scored two goals the Premiership, and those were from the spot. I dare say Crouch would probably have even gotten two or more by now already had he been starting more. The fact that Crouch has been all but replaced by a Bosman signing says it all, and is virtually a spit in the eye from Rafa Benitez to the man.

I'd say Crouch will want to leave regardless. I know I would. I'd all be in favor of replacing him with a more direct and clinical finisher than Kuyt or Voronin, or at least a secondary creative striker.

The manager assembles a squad, he uses players at his own discretion as mandated by the board. If he chooses not to play Crouch, that's his prerogative. If Crouch is unhappy with the situation, a situation he should be well expected to face at any top major european club, then he can choose to leave the club if he wants to. Rafa would not hold a player against his will.

I couldn't care less about the feelings of any particular player, I care about the team, and so does Rafa. To consider the decision not to use Crouch as a equating to a spit in the eye from Rafa is a wildly deluded view to have, IMHO.

It's never nice when a player you like goes, Fowler perhaps a good example, and it's even harder if the player or players brought in are not superior. I like Kuyt as a player and not so much Crouch, largely because I am fed up of people boasting skills he clearly doesn't have. However the whole strike force from last season could have gone as I've said before, Fowler was no worse than those who stayed. I am puzzled as to why Rafa kept Crouch when actions speak louder than words and he has little intention of using him. I'm guessing Crouch still hasn't reached 90 minutes of Premiership football, if he isn't to be used then he should be sold.

Crouch has to be sold while he'll still fetch a price, at the moment he's a potential asset just sat on his asset. If I could vote I'd side with the current majority and offload him next opportunity before mugs like SGE have paid over the odds for someone else's striker

Although I like Crouch, my main beef with whats going on at the moment is that it leaves us with only three strikers, two if as is currently the case one is injured. When those two which are left are a bloke who is increasingly looking like a shrewd Bosman at best, and a bloke who just isn't providing any goal threat then you have a problem.

I must say I was extremely impressed with the young fella Lucas yesterday, and whether ot not he has played off the front man before would be interesting. Despite his contribution yesterday, it's hard to see him playing too often in central midfield and he might just be an option up top in a kind of 4-5-1 ish line up where he plays off a striker. s long as Torres comes back soon and hits the ground running we should be Ok, but Kuyt/Voronin doesn't work for me.

Surely we must also get a little curious, just to have a smidgeon of a look at Babael up top? Or maybe that's just me. One things for sure, if we have bought him to play in  the wide slots in midfield then based on what we have seen so far, we have paid top dollar plus for his services.
