Just wondering whether some of you dislike him because of his look or ability? Let say if he looks like Raul, would it matter??

I know someone will say both but I think his ability is not as bad as his look. I think if we can sign him cheap, it would be a good signing.

But thats the point mate, if we sign him it will be £6m+ which in my eyes is a waste, you can quote me if he bangs in 20+ goals which would never happen in my eyes and this is what we need not someone who scores a few more than 10 cos midfielders should be scoring that!!

He's had one good season after being total sht for years - there've been plenty of them over the years, not just for us. Someone should show Rafa a video of him playing for Villa. That should sort it!

I agree with the fact that he had a tremendous 2004/2005 season at So'ton but i don't think that he has the ability to be a week in - week out goal scorer or else since his Aston Villa days, Real or Milan would have been after him.

He was 3rd choice striker at Villa. The guy has half a good season with a relegated club and he's playing alongside CL winners.

All the Crouch bashers on here are championing the cause of Kuyjit but with a few exceptions have any of you (experts on Dutch football) actually seen the guy play more than a game or two. Sure the papers say the lad is pretty handy but What can he do? What could he bring to the team?

Can anyone who has seen him (other than half an international and a couple of goals on Eurosport news) tell me what he can do?

I've actually seen more of him (courtesy of eurosport tv ) than I have of Crouch .

Why don't Chelsea go for Crouch ?? I heard that they are on the lookout for a striker. Maybe he is too cheap for them at 8 millions.

I'd say drop the deal and pay an extra 2 million for Dirk Kuyt. This would make more sense.
