I couldnt agree more. And I am glad to see someone saying it.
I am a LFC fan a long long time (I guess longer than most of the fans here), but the things I read here in the past few weeks just made me sick.
Yes, there are some Haifa kids/fans that wrote stupid things. Not more than any other team we played in the past (benfica anyone?). I have never seen so much anti-semitics post as a result. It made me feel for a moment that those are real LFC fans...

But I have met to many LFC fans to know that those antisimistics fans are not the ALL of the fans.
Most of the fans I met (in Liverpool, London, Istanbul and many other places I went to support my team) were not like that.
I have to say that I never heard (outside this forum) antisemitic remarks from LFC fans. So I guess we just have some stupid kids here ... (just like those Haifa fans).

Thanks again for your post JBG  :buttrock

I reckon Rafa is trying to make some sort of statement by leaving Stevie G out. He might have a poorly tummy, but Stevie would be willing to play with it. I bet he is gutted he is on the bench tonight.

I trust Rafa with his decisions but just hope he does not live to regret this. You know the papers will jump all over it.

Gerrard will most likely play.  If we get into even the least bit of trouble he will be coming on, or is we are winning by 1 he will be on I'm assuming around the 65th - 70th minute.  Eventually his adrenaline will kick in and he will be fine.

Finnan    Hyypia    Agger   Aurellio

Pennant  Alonso   Sissoko  Gonzalez

             Garcia    Crouch

Scoring first will pretty much put this game to bed and I really do expect to win this game, its game were Hafia need to change the current result so we should fins a lot more space than the first leg, cue Pennant and Gonzalez. I would be tempted to use Gerrard and Bellamy in the second half rather than from the beginning. The only worry for me is Agger and Aurellio are still relatively new, it would make me contemplate whether to maybe put Warnock at left back or possibly even left midfield.

How close was I, for once!

I agree Rafa. Any coincidence that Gerrard in his new book criticised Rafa for not getting close to his players ("not even his captain"). SG makes it clear that he vastly preferrerd GH as a man but thinks Rafa a great tactician, though "the players sometimes seem just like cogs in the Benitez plan".

I doubt that Stevie is happy on the bench and I fancy Rafa is playing a dangerous game with his captain. These are make or break decisions--and no one will criticise Rafa much if he gets it right. Any problems, and the doom mongers will immediately on his back.

Not a bad team though--Warnock for Aurelio is sensible at this stage.

Quite a few changes to the squad, but I have every confidence we can do it.

CMON YOU MIGHTY RED MEN, LETS GET THE JOB DONE, GO FOR THE JUGULAR, KILL THE GAME OFF PLEASE IN THE FIRST HALF, DONT PUT US THROUGH WHAT YOU ALWAYS DO :D

I am not as worried as others going into this match. I haven’t been worried at all, even straight after the first leg.

I think we will score in the first half and have a fairly comfortable night. I know we have struggled in the last 2 seasons at this stage, but I just cant see it happening this time round because were a much more rounded and experienced squad of players with plenty of players who can play on the big occasion.

I’m going for a fairly comfortable 3-0.

Give it a rest for f'ucks sake . At least no LFC fans or officials, unlike the Israelis, expressed a desire to spray the oppents dressing room with pest control .

It's wasn't anti semitism that was expressed , it was "Anti Kuntism"
