I am not as worried as others going into this match. I haven’t been worried at all, even straight after the first leg.

I think we will score in the first half and have a fairly comfortable night. I know we have struggled in the last 2 seasons at this stage, but I just cant see it happening this time round because were a much more rounded and experienced squad of players with plenty of players who can play on the big occasion.

I’m going for a fairly comfortable 3-0.

Hmm i was that positive before the first leg and the sheff utd game, im not going to get my hopes up too much!

i think Rafa want to use all the 22 players to get result especially when there are 2 games in a week. He doesn't want to reply on the best 11 for every game. Every fit and well trained squad members will have a chance.

I agree Rafa. Any coincidence that Gerrard in his new book criticised Rafa for not getting close to his players ("not even his captain"). SG makes it clear that he vastly preferrerd GH as a man but thinks Rafa a great tactician, though "the players sometimes seem just like cogs in the Benitez plan".

I doubt that Stevie is happy on the bench and I fancy Rafa is playing a dangerous game with his captain. These are make or break decisions--and no one will criticise Rafa much if he gets it right. Any problems, and the doom mongers will immediately on his back.

Not a bad team though--Warnock for Aurelio is sensible at this stage.

Gerrard cant play due to an upset stomach, thats all, people always look for things that arnt there.

But Lynds, do you think Gerrard can't play or Rafa does not want to play him?

  This season Rafa took Gerrard off against Haifa in the first leg and Gonzo scored, his replacement. He is going on about being able to drop Gerrard and he will do a lot of rotating. I have every faith in Rafa and will support him to the hilt, but I think by not playing gerrard Rafa is making a statement. Would Mourinho or Fergie drop Terry or Rooney for such an important and potentially tricky game? I think not.

Well yeah gerrard probably would like to play but since when does he have to play every fixture. I guess since he has a tummy bug rafa has decided it is best to play someone else..
