LIVERPOOL VS MACCABI HAIFA - Part 2

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby stmichael » Tue Aug 22, 2006 2:08 pm

Given all the stick they've been getting in the past couple of days i'll go for a 2-0 win.

Zenden 18' - Curling free kick from 25 yards into the top corner

Kromkamp 26' - Stunning 35 yard dipping volley.

A song for Aurelio:

I think we could use the tune of what opposition fans used for sit down pinocchio but just put in Fabio Aurelio.

That could work  :D

I can see this being a nervy 0-0.

We don't really seem to win when we don't have to. For example Betis at home.

Saw rafa being grilled by the opposition journalists as to why the match is being playing in kiev.......

You can see rafa was getting very pi$$ed with the bombardment of questions.

Anyway, as for this match, i actually have a good feeling. I think rafa would have blasted the squad after that draw with united. I am going for a 2-0 win.

Seeking Lebanese / Palestinians to act as officials in this match? Easy – just pick out a random person wandering about
in London, and you're bound to find one. Walking around the streets of London, I could swear I'm in Beirut (at least, there's
more of them here in London than over there). Of course, there's now 23 less of them "lads" out there, but I assure you that
it shouldn’t affect your ability to find one.

Come to think of it, I'm glad that these 23 are in custody and that all the planes flying out to Kiev from Heathrow with
the red fans made it there safely, but hey, assuming Liverpool makes it to the CL, there are still plenty of matches and
plenty of flights, and who know – maybe Mustafa will be able to make it to one of them and successfully mix his liquid
TNT bottles, or whatever it was. Make sure you get a window seat, I hear a plane crashing down on the ocean beats any
amusement park ride out there, hands tied (depending on the altitude, you might even find some time to throw in a few
Liverpool chants on the way down).

All commentators in this forum who say 'no politics' and get into politics in the following sentence, speak of the 'war zone'
as if it was in a different galaxy, when it's right down their alley – maybe you don't know it yet, but your children will (whether
they'll be the bomber or the victim, depending on your origin).

Enjoy the flight, say hi to Mustafa, and don't forget to wear your seatbelt during landing.

Oh, although I see clearly into the future as stated above, I can not reveal tonight's score line – apologies.

My post about the officials has a smiley on the end does it not?
Its what we call sarcasm, and after MH antics since we have drawn them, Ive come to the conclution that sarcasm is something you lot are good at.
Your post is not very witty though, cause some of them in the failed plot to blow up planes where Liverpool fans, so therefore I reckon it would be dead safe to travel on a flight with them, what ya reckon  :rasp
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

The anti-semetism on these pages have been positively dripping off the walls lately.

I've been on this forum for 3 years and there have been plenty of :censored: and looney tune fans from opposition clubs and countries coming on to this forum, yet the venom in the lash back against Haifa fans has been been as disportionate as the attacks their country made on Lebanon. :(

I really hope Garcia starts or is at least used as an early sub, he gave them fits in the first leg, and wouldn't be surprised if he found the back of the net or created the chance that allowed someone else to ... barring of course if he gets to see the pitch for a significant ammount of time.

I agree Kewell. Doesn't the fact that Israeli teams play in Europe support the Arabic opinion of Israel as a European country transplanted into the Middle East.?

But don't get me started on politics just before the big game!

Dirk Kuyt:

"I am just hoping and praying that the lads beat Haifa. I have never played in the Champions League before and that is why I came to Liverpool. It is one of the things I want to achieve and quickly.

"It is very important for my career to play at this level. I know I need big matches to improve and that means Champions League football."

The attacks on the Jewish Haifa fans in this thread are just as much an overreaction as Isreal's attacks on Lebanon, basically.
