I can also tell you FOR A FACT that in South America Benfica are not considered a big team. The portuguese league is not even transmited on TV anymore because nobody saw it. [/quote]
You're wrong! Portuguese league is transmitted at least in Brazil. And Brazil has the most succesfull football in the world. It's important because:
1- good for portuguese football being transmitted in a country with 180M or more inhabbitants.
2- good for brazilians that want to follow the careers of some players that played in their league: Diego, Geovanni, Liedson, LUISÃO
3- good for the portuguese community in Brazil
Benfica and other portuguese team are highly considered in the country.
www.SL-Benfica.com - biggest SLBenfica website, with lots of news about the club, but it's not official.
General information about supporters in Portugal:
www.ULTRAS12.com - biggest forum discussion about portuguese supporters, ULTRAS and hooligans. Lots of pictures and videos there.
www.ADEPTOS.blogspot.com - biggest website with news about supporters, ULTRAS and hooligans (not only Portuguese, but mostly)
Now, with those websites, you can learn more about SLBenfica club, their fans, their passion with soccer, and many other things
Glorioso I accept that result: LFC 2-1 SLB
I'm sorry if you liverpool guys think i am rude, but i don't agree with my partner. For me, if we lose in anfield, even if we pass to quarter-finals, it's a bad result.
Benfica is one of the best European Clubs actually, in my opinion, we have probably the best club administration in the world, a very good coach, good players and the best supporters (don't be angry with me, you are the 2nd best supporters). So, to LOSE is NEVER a good result, even a draw would not make me happy.
I think we have chances to win in anfield, really.
Dawson, I would get so cocky, we can't seem to buy more than one goal at the moment, which doesn't make good reading considering we need two (providing we don't concede at the other end) to go thru to the QF's.
Lets hope Garcia, Gerrard 'n' Kewell are all on fire.
