Liverpool's top Premiership goal scorers this season were:
Baros with 9 goals
Garcia with 8
Gerrard with 7
Riise with 6
Cisse with 4
Morientes with 3
This tells a bit of a sad story really, maybe if we had a striker (this is not a cue to talk about Owen), that scored at least 15 goals league goals and was available for the vast majority of the season, we would have secured that 4th spot sometime ago. I think that Baros has proven he is not good enough to be a first team regular at such a demanding club. I think he belongs at a remotely ambitious midtable club, were he can play regularly.
Personally I think our defence has been good enough, without being brilliant (no department of our team is even close to brilliant). If you look at the stats of the last two seasons our defence has let in a similar amount of goals. In matches our defence has performed well when Pellegrino hasn’t been playing, our goalkeepers have let us down this season, neither have exhibited the concentration needed.
We’ve conceded
04/05 - 41
03/04 - 37
02/03 - 41
We've scored:
04/05 – 52
03/04 - 55
02/03 – 64
i think yes what about you
