I wouldn't go that far. It's been our usual performance this season. We are better then the opponenet to a certain degree but not much more.

I said in the beginning of the year that we would need a healty in form Gerrard to reach our target and it has never been more true then now. This team is screaming for a leader ,someone with a big set of heavey hairy balls (ladies please excuse my graphics) ,we have no one that steps on the field with a Must Win attitude. (Maybe Bellamy). They are good bunch of lads but this combo does't grant you anything in this league.

Gerrard please come back soon.

Suarez was quiet, i think that was down to playing him out wide, I agree maxi should have started, he suits the way we play and complments Suarez and Bellamy well.
Carroll just doesnt fit, round hole square peg i think!

I think this was our biggest problem and the major difference between our recent performances and tonight, i'm not singling carroll out, i just dont think it is going to work the way we play. We would be better off playing Kuyt up top if we want an out ball!

The sending off was pretty poor decision and that just tipped a very even match in favour of Fulham, who i dont think deserved the win, and if i'm totaly honest i dont think we deserved all 3 points.
A draw would have been fair, but we shouldnt be happy with it!!!

Lets learn from these errors.....

Wind your neck in mate. It's not like we haven't seen this sort of performance before so people are right to voice an opinion. We are Chelsea beaters yes but unfortunatley not Norwich or Fulham beaters.

Whether it's the lack of engine in midfield now or something else, Kenny needs to sort it whilst we still have a chance at 4th.

so we had 55% posession, 10 corners, 20 attempts on goal of which 6 were on target, with a rejigged midfield, spent large parts of the match camped in their penalty area and played the last minutes with 10 men. we lost 1-0 away from home and yet lots of you believe that we were fecking awful. our finishing needs to be a lot better, that much is sure, but to conclude that we are rubbish and playing bad football is just being ridiculously pessimistic.

that last part. my sentiments exactly. we heard SO MUCH TALK about arsenal season's imploding at the start of the season. what, now they're three above us.

and i'm pretty sure we top the league in hitting the fu.cking post.

Taking nothing away from the performance, thought we controlled the game (again).

Spearing wrongfully sent off, disallowed onside goal hit the goal frame twice (12 times in 14 games).

We NEVER get what we deserve, the decisions that go against us are woeful...

im SICK of it, its EVERY game!!

Have to agree with this. Apart from that 3 issues with tonight:
- Carroll just doesn't fit into this team right now
- Far too much gap between our offensive line and Spearing. Fulham had too much space in the middle even before he was sent off
- Henderson just cannot play out wide, he seems to receive the ball, run a couple of steps and retreat every single time without putting through a cross. Besides that shot that hit the bar, he felt like a passenger throughout the game.

I thought Spearing actually had a pretty darn good game until he got sent off.

We weren't awful and that's really the focking problem. We totally outplayed Fulham and every other focker except for Spurs this season but we are still in mid table. What hurts me even more is to watch the mancs get away with a 1-0 result in 90% of their games where their opponent has even more chances than they do. It's really painful man we deserve ALOT more!

if someone wants to write arsenal`s whole season off because they had a few bad results in september and october then more fool them, the season lasts 9 months, the best part of a calender year, marathon not a sprint and all that.
if someone wants to write liverpool off now well more fool them also, in this 3 points for a win era things can change very quickly.

Totally agree with this post. We did not play awful, not at all. The stats say we had a really good game.

The ball is just not going in for is at the moment!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

I didnt think we were bad either, to single out Carroll is unfair though, the service was pretty poor. Once again the amount of corners we had went to waste, every single one of them.

Honestly with two big defenders like Hangeland and Senderos we might want to try something other than crosses towards Carroll. We should have tried something else in the 2nd half.
