Middlesboro' vs. liverpool - Predictions

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby Eazy-E » Sat Aug 06, 2005 4:43 pm

The new season is a week away now and we kick off at the Riverside at 5.15pm. This, in my opinion, is going to be a very tough game. Of course we are going to be hungry but so are Boro. The starting XI will probably be as follows:

                                 Reina

Finnan            Carragher       Hyypia         Riise

                     Hamann         Alonso

Luis Garcia                 Gerrard                Zenden

                                 Cisse

I reckon that this game will end 2-2. Boro are very strong at home. What do you reckon. Milan Baros might actually play as a sub as we can still sell him afterwards...

Actually last season Boro were very inconsistant at home, they dropped tons of points at home.

We need to get off to a good start and especially on away from Anfield.

I think Rafa and the boys will be ready.

I predict we win 2-1.

i think the game will kick off, there will be 45 minutes of jiggery pokery followed by a 15 minute break. the players will then emerge for another 45 minutes of jiggery pokery followed by the full time whistle.

as for the score, i dont have a clue, as does no one have a clue    ???

Whilst we are asking questions , have LFC ever won at the Riverside ? I don't think we have you know. The first time I went there was the 3-3 draw on the opening day of the 97 season. Ravenelli got a Hatrick on his debut ???

I've been twice more and we drew 0-0 and lost 1-0.

Ohhhhh by the way , i'm going next week ....sorry lads :D

I might be wrong (I don't think I am....) but they also beat us 1-0 at the Riverside in the semi of the Worthington Cup back in 1997.  I could easily check that out on Soccerbase but I can't be bothered.

You're spot on though Ian, our record there is poor.
