Title describes it all. Lets say we have 20M to spend in January before player sales.

We can offload Babel for 8 or 9. Maybe Lucas for 5 - 7.
That would leave us with possibly 30M to spend.

What positions need to be strengthened?

Personally, id try sign a left winger and a back up striker. Id play Kelly at RB and give Johnson a shot at RM.

Although it won't be easy to make any big deals in Jan. Especially if we're down in the lower half of the table.

first off, where did you go to school?

second off, I'd focus on a striker. NESV have to show their intent on making this club successful so I reckon a £25-£30m striker is a cert. We need to get someone on a par with a good Torres because until we do Torres will keep putting in under par shows, plus he won't last the whole season anyway.

edit: I pressed submit by accident, I'll carry on...

Third off, I'd buy a decent Left Back as Konchesky is sh!te. ship the fuk'r off to Blackburn or Bolton and spend a good £10m on someone who can actually play football.

don't ask me who though.

A striker and Arda Turan. I suppose a LB but if we don't get rid of Hodgson I don't see that happening.

The first thing I'd do is get rid of Lucas and get a good holding midfield. I do disslike Lucas but that aint the reason I would sell him for. If we are getting a new holding midfield he wont be of use anymore becouse I'd personaly would keep Poulsen as a reserve and use Spearing insted of Lucas whenever needed. Then I'd get rid of Babel and buy a good winger or/and a striker. But personaly I'd concentrate our money, time and effort on a good holding midfielder, if possible with a good ability to pass, becouse I think that is the most important position at the moment that we should improve.

In Turan, Lukaku and Defour id try and tie down Afellay and Shaqiri on frees 4 next season

striker ( FERNANDO LLORENTE ) athletic bilbao, 25year old,,,,,, 15m + babel

thatd do me for january then we can really cut the dead wood and get bout 5 new quality players in

we do not need a GK. end of.

neither do we need a CB? we've got Carra, Agger, Skrtel, Kyrgiakos, Wilson and i think Mavinga is also a CB.

getting a LB is massively important as we've got one who isnt good enough while another is like a mimosa. Baines?

sell Poulson and Lucas and get a proper DM. keep Spearing for the home grown quota.

shift Cole to the right and get a left winger instead. Babel and Maxi can be sold. or if the new manager insists on playing Cole on the left, someone like Turan, Danijel Pranjic or Marko Marin would be perfect.

we definitely need a striker but what type of striker would complement Torres? the strong in the air type like Drogba or the quick ones like Vela? is Wickham really that good? Ashley Young has got 1 year left on his contract and would be worth looking at.
