Rafa Benitez is interested in Man Utd defender Wes Brown reports the insider. Apparently Benitez will bring a centre back to Liverpool in the January window & Brown has become favourite because Ayala would command a fee of £6 million & at 32 seems over priced. Wes Brown was also a childhood Liverpool fan with John Barnes his idol & may have been dare I say it "tapped up" Fergie style!! Another British based player would certainly look good along with the reported signings of Vicente & Mista also looking done deals, Benitez has work to do but omens are looking good. YNWA

I can't see us signing, Vicente, Mista or Brown. Vicente would be class though.

Can't some of you lot just grow up. With the odd exception (for eg, players who had slagged LFC off like Neville) I'd welcome virtually any player who'd improve our team. If Benetiz has identified Brown as someone who will do a good job for us, then we should back him. It's obvious that Benetiz wants to play zonal defending tactics, maybe he has identified Brown as being ideal for it?

erm who sed we were deffently signing vicente and mista in jan , with wot moneys anyways, if we could sign vicente that would be too good 2 be tru the guys brilliant and can skin players left right and centre damien duff park 2

how is rejecting a perfectly good player a winning mentality? I don't care if benitez is pulling these players out of his a$$ as long as they pull their weight and make Liverpool a better team.
