Basically that the bids on the table are significantly undervalued and do not represent a fair value of their investment ...

They will take any course of action required to prevent these bids from happening ..

Just caught the tail end of it Lyns..........

Rogan was on and from his perspective it looks increasingly likely that it will end in litigation  ???

I wouldn't personally want to call it at present but it does smack of the endgame to me. It simply can't go on like this.......

The Mancs are revelling in it but their time (and Chelsea's i suspect) will come soon and it will make our troubles seem like a playground sapt. Lets not forget the Mancs are closing in on a billion in debt !

The Beautiful games turned ugly mate..........

In the meantime what happens to us whilst we struggle near the foot of the table? We need funds pumped into the team and a new stadium.  :(

Can RBS just throw it all out the window and call in the load? A court battle over a football club? This has to be a first.

Hi Bav,

What happens next ? Thats the inponderable question my friend.

RBS are inevitably in the stronger position as they hold the balance of power albeit through financial eyes.

From a purely business viewpoint RBS could simply extend the borrowing to the Yank and take the £60 million fine as per the agreement. Not a good option in the eyes of the vast majority of LFC fans............

Alternatively they may see financial sense in calling the loan in and selling to prospective bidders. In order to do this they would have to put us into administration and seek a new buyer. This would incur a 9pts penalty from the Premier League.

I suppose it hangs on whether RBS believe the valuation of thye club is an appropriate one. Its certainly not worth the £600 million the Yanks are asking for but its a given that its undervalued at circa £240 million. If RBS can recoup their original loan amount (£175 PLUS the £60 fine they would have to forego if they put LFC into administration) I think they will go ahead. 175 + 60 = £235 (Way below the valuation of LFC).

Hicks & Gillett snookered themselves by appointing Broughton as they cannot remove Purslow or Ayre without permission of chairman

This is true read Igors post from earlier, thats in Ayers and Purslows contract.

We are fecked if Hicks brings in Jimmy feckin Mack and that Lori slag, but then again they would have to work in Liverpool so it might not be a bad thing afterall ;)

Been informed that release clause expired earlier this month (via @thefrankhealy) which would explain G&H's attempt to overhaul #LFC board

Hicks & Gillett believe the bids "dramatically undervalue" #LFC and their "significant investment" in the club. Erm....

I hate our commercial side of the club but Ayres has brought millions in, in commercial deals Hicks is cutting his nose off to spite his face here. Unbelievable.

-----------

Well if we continue to hover around our current position can Hicks really expect to get anything near his valuation? Surely that valuation drops in tandem with how we perform on the pitch, or worse if we lose a few more key players like Torres.
