Mike Jeffries, over to make the viral film, was on City today.

he said how he believes RBS will be unable to take the club off Hicks due to the fact that come the October deadline Hicks will file a litigation suit against RBS.

Hicks will spend £millions on hiring a sh!t hot legal team to simply drag RBS through the courts knowing that they will eventually lose but it buys him 12 months or so to find a buyer.

The money it costs him will be offset by not losing the club to the bank so he has nothing to lose.

RBS will have to fight in court to eventually get the club or the money back and it will cost them £millions.

Meanwhile LFc will be in total limbo financially and will just lurch along from day to day not knowing where it will all end.

He said in the States Litigation is everywhere whereas over here it isnt and hasnt been mentioned - he said he thinks this is very likely to happen so even if we go into administration if will still take 12 months to sort out

Don't forget lynds , that the club have retained slaughter and may ,(the very top top law firm in this counrty) and they must have known it would come to this . I'm confident that this is the death throws of the two tw.ats . The yanks agreed with RBS when broughton that they would not stand in the way of the club being sold . In the clubs statement they make it perfectly clear that they have recieved two excellent bids and were ready to approve one . RBS know that H+G are f.ucked and by the time they try to mount a legal challenge RBS will call in the loan and sell the club .

So the yanks either accept one of these offers or RBS gain control of the club anyway and sell us.

I think there is still so we dont know about what is going on here, come the 15th we may still be in the dark but I dont think its wise to start having a go at the people who thought the likes of Purslow were doing a poor job just because weve got a statement saying they are being undermined by the owners as they have received some concrete bids. All I know is if it comes to a choice between the Americans and the board, there is only one winner in the eyes of the fans in that contest.

I just cant belive they have put up that statement on the official website, absolutely mad.

It shows how the Boardroom is completely split, is it like Ayre + Broughton V Hicks + Gillet now?

No way in hell would Hicks have let that statement go onto the internet, its dropped him in it.

Looks like they are on their last legs but like rest of yous ill not be happy till we see the back of them. Its looking like the end but how many times have we said that before and they still come back. OK just got this off rawk , it may help us understand the boardroom situation abit more.



The Company Articles for The Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Limited set out the rules for the removal of directors in clauses 81 and 83.

Clause 83 gives a list of valid reasons for the removal of a director, such as being disqualified by law, mental illness etc, none of which apply is this instance.

Therefore a Director can only be removed in accordance with clause 81, which states "Any appointment or removal shall be made in writing and signed by the then current Chairman"

It would seem then that Hicks and Gillett can't get rid of Purslow and Ayre without Broughtons permission, which given this statement clearly hasn't been given.
