Liverpool Football Club - Games

A few years ago maybe but Maxi's best years are passed him for sure. He can still play a part for us but from the bench.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

we're gonna win our next 5 games. no excuses not to do so as on paper, we've the better team. though of course, our opponents have more desire, it seems.

Today he is merely a victim of a poor manager who cannot design play or movement in the final third...

get your head out of your hole and go educate yourself with more football if this is how limited you are.

Why is it when someone has an opinion other people don't agree with it means they have no football knowledge at all - why can't people respect the right that people will always have different opinions about things .

Benny - His short passing was what was best, not long passing. He kept the ball in midfield very well and always made himself available.

So short passing is now ok and called brilliant ?!The same things that used to be labelled sh.ite for lucas as all he does is pass it short ?!

How does that work ?

What is the point in fighting the Lucas vs Poulsen fight? Splitting hairs is all your doing. You fail to see oit but you can't help but this season you cannot help but argue (against) on points you would have been defending this time last year.

You and a bunch of others. Just about every thread is ruined by posters fighting to prove their own agendas.

I'd say say there are only a handful of fans (who post regularly) who actually call it as they see it on these boards this season. the lack of others doing the same is what has killed the forum.

Maxi is cat this season. Drop him. Give Amoo a lash at the first team. The lad has been on fire, has pace, is fearless....and he's eager. Enuff said. Maxi - you're history lad. Nice knowin' ya...

My take on the game was a fairly poor first half, we had a few spells where we looked quite comfortable on the ball but were too timid to get bodies forward to support Torres. Their goal killed us and when they went 2-0 up I thought we were heading for an absolute beating. Credit the lads for getting back into the game, that's a quality we've not shown since the 08/09 season and I never thought we had it in us to do so. Made all the more enjoyable coz I watched the game with a manc and gleefully told him (and the rest of the pub!) exactly where Gerrard was gonna put the ball for the equalizing free kick. Such a shame we couldn't hold on but lets be honest, the better team won the game.

Anyone who starts shouting "the mancs are shi....te, they were there for the taking (on their own patch!) is a complete fool.

I'm chuffed we didn't get humiliated, at one point it looked like we might. We've got a couple of massive home games coming up the next two weeks and (far) more importantly we will see whether the slug Hicks manages to bleed the club dry for another 2 years.

Last year last season - people always go on about last year - it's gone it's happened we were sh.it last year - it's this year I'm worried and how we are looking right now and not last bloody year - I have already said I prob got a few things wrong last season but that's gone now - there is no agenda and I'm posting exactly about what I see on the pitch right now and not last bloody season

Dude, Maxi might be poor (I don't disagree) but Amoo is abillion miles away from being ready for the first team. He isn't a Premiership player and he never will be. League one or Championship at very best.

Happy to chuck a few quid down on that as well!

Bullsh....i....t pal. We've already done this till red in the face. You're a very different poster to last year. Very loyal to the gaffer is what you were last year. It's not just you, the whole forum is fu...c...ked because of pros/antis arguments rumbling over/reversed bias etc.

And how old do you HAVE to be to be ready for the first team ? Even if it's not about age, do you think the lad might offer more than Maxi, who seems to have one trick only ?

Dundalk wrote:Some on here are very quick to jump down the throat of the manager and even call for his head already. We have a had our worst start to a season in a long time but we have also had a terribly hard opening set of fixtures. The only "given 3 points" that any fan would have expected out of the opening 5 games would have been West Brom at home and thats the way it has turned out.

I though today at times we looked good. In the first half the stats showed we had more possession although we didn't create much, but in fairness neither did United. What some on here seem to be forgetting is that we weren't playing Blackpool away today. It was Man United. In Old Trafford. We have no right to go there and get 3 points. We done well to come back from 2 down and I know a lot are saying after that we sat back but was that Roys fault? Didn't he switch to 4-4-2? Didn't he bring Jovanivic an attacking player on? Could it be said that perhaps the players sat back in the last 10 mins under heaving United pressure?

IMO a lot can be taken from todays performance. This team will come good when they get use to each other and Roy. Its a new regime and its going to take time to settle in, look at Mourinhio at Real Madrid at the moment and Rafa at Inter. It will take time but it WILL happen. I am very confident on that. This was only Coles second League game for us, it was Miereles first league start for us and it was only Koncheskys second game. A run of results and a bit of confidence in the team and we will make the top 4.

Refreshingly balanced post Dundalk! Laced with a hint of optimism, good to read.

There is no point people saying the same things over and over again - yes I was a fan of Rafa but I'm a bigger fan of Liverpool - yes I don't rate current manager and everything I feared about him getting the job is currently being played out as each game goes by - but what is really a annoying is people have this pathetic theory that people who were behind previous manager want the current manager to fail just so they can be justified or to say I told you so - well that is utter bullsh.it - I have never ever wanted any Liverpool team to ever not win a game and certainly not to prove a point on a message board - Liverpool football club comes first before any manager and has been for all my life . I just want us to be successful - who the manager is I really couldn't give two f.ucks as long as he gets the job done . I'm not an anti or a pro or a high fiver or a rafalight or a rafaapolgist or a wrist slasher or a doom and gloomer - I'm a Liverpool fan - have been for 30 plus years and will continue to be so until I'm done .

Ive said it before Bav thats what 1.5 million buys you, Tbh though i though Maxi was gonna get it together this season, he played well in games towards the end of last season an i though yep maybe , but i honestly think his game is more suited to European football, . sad really

And id drop Johnson until he sorts his head out and i dont mean his hair , and give Kelly the nod ,
