Agreed with this.

what happened to the best fans in the world really

FFS. Some of you fans as loyal as you are, live in some fantasy dream land.

You obviously dont watch mutch football.

This is exactly what happens when you don't employ a top manager.

Roy Hodgson DOES NOT KNOW how to win a prem title, has not managed successfully any club (he took Inter out of Europe). and this is what happens when you take risks.

He will just "hit and hope" with tactics and selections all season, and hope for the best!

Mate! it doesn't matter if he isn't a top manager or not! This is not we are trying to say!

Look matey, if he ends up with a title and a few silverware no one will complain, if he doesn't, then fair enough off you go, you tried your best but not enough. All I'm saying give the gaffer a f*cking chance for crying out loud! I respect people's opinion on saying he isn't good enough for the club. I respect all of the poster's opinion on that front, fair enough, they maybe right... it can be either way really. What I'm fed up is that many fans are jumping into Roy's bandwagon every time we draw or lose a game!! we only played 5 games and Roy has been here for 3 months! Judge a manager by the end of the season not 5 games through!!!

Personally, I thought our performance today was a marked improvement on what we've seen recently.  For one, we kept the ball with greater ease and I think having Meireles and Cole in the side helped on that front.  True, we could have made more effective use of it in the final third but I think we showed more creativity today than we've seen so far this season.  Unfortunately, we got dominated in the air at the back by a player that far too many people wrote off as a flop.  Berbatov's a quality player and he was absolutely fooking clinical today.  I'm gutted we lost after showing great fight to draw level but I still found today more encouraging than discouraging, whatever the table says.

Why do you keep bringing Rafa and last season up? Serious question, people tell us to move on and get over it, but these same people are the ones that constantly bring Rafa up.

Inter won today and Rafa is currently sitting joint top of the league.

Where as we are 16th with our breath of fresh air.

I think you might have got me mixed up with someone else Lynds. Where have I "brought anyone up"  ???

It just seems to me that for a bit of context and since people are saying we have gone backwards, comparing our results to corresponding fixtures last season is sensible. I'm sorry the results of the comparison don't fit in with the posse's agenda, but there's not a lot I or anyone else can do about that.

Where have you 'brought up anyone'?

IN PRACTICALLY EVERY POST :D

We gave our best you guys, nobody can say that we didnt. They were just the better team, that's it. Obviosly we're too week when it comes to crosses in our box but nobody played bad, maybu Maxi didnt show much as ussual but that's about it. We did all that we could, we scored 2 goals after being 2 down (but I must say that we're lucky that they have idiots like Evans in their squad) and that IMO was giving our best against a better team on their ground.

It's one of the biggest misconceptions on the boards. Poulsen isn't a Masherano type of player at all, he's a reader of it, a hole filler who can pass and dictate the play.

I guess that's why they're all saying "why doesn't he tackle more" :D. Just because we sold Masherano and brought Poulsen in, it DOESN'T mean they are the same type of player, they aren't.

I didn't say they were the same type of player , what i said was that poulson was mascherano's direct replacement ie he's playing in that position . He does not dictate play , he didn't plug any holes, he got bypassed time and again . Why are we letting so many crosses coming in from the flanks ? because your midfielder who is supposed to be putting pressure on players is not quick enough to get over to the flanks to double up . When we went 442 that changed abit because the two wide men were helping back . Poulson is supposed to cover the whole of that line infront of the back four . He simply isn't capable of doing it , he's not mobile enough , he's a plodder.

And that was what i was asking Igor . Direct replacement for Javier or not, Because with about half an hour to go Stevie was covering his ar.se and doing his own job,
Cant understand and all why Skrtel was prefered over Agger . i would of even had the greek in there over Skrtel, at least he can head the ball . Yes there were periods of good play but then we went back to eight men defending, Its gonna be a massive massive job to get the team clicking and playing the football that we require watching them play i just hope its not to long in coming

People harp back to last season because we are in the same situation right now but most on here are showing different attitude than the last one and its bloody embarrassing to be honest. I'm telling ya most last season were saying '' the season is 38 games'' now we are seeing '' negative tactics, worst ever performance (I've seen worse!), I can't watch my team like that''... The SAME people who did not even say that kind of things before!!!!! whats wrong now?!?!?!? jeez

Because the manager was sacked for that, and in his place we were promised a 'breath of fresh air' and a 'new beginning'; yet all folks like u do is tell us about last season.

We are supposed to be improving on last season not mirroing it!

This way Kuyt would be helping out Torres upfront as well as drifting wide. With full backs rampaging forward. Im sure if Masche was here he would have been great at the bottom tip but thats for another day.

We dont have the fullbacks to play that way, nor do we have a partner for Torres who I feel would compliment his game. I would have a crack at 433, Poulsen holding and Gerrard and Meireles / Lucas as the more offensive midfielders. Torres up on his own, Cole on the left and Kuyt on the right when he gets back, stick Babel in there until that. Maybe he'll deliver

Clutching at straws mate.

As loyal and dedicated to this site as you are mate, convince me otherwise.... that i am wrong and you are right :Oo:

Very unusual for LFC managers to get only a 2-year contract, like "Woy". Most get 4 year deals. Why is this i wonder?

we look so different from last season.

I thought guardiola was a reserve team manager when he took up Barca hot seat and then won treble first season. Im not saying Hodgson is gonna win treble but really give him a run just like people do with a player. The team is having a new manager and there are some new players in there. Definitely if you can give Jovanovic 10 games , you can give Hodgson 10 games as well

If we keep playing like this, Hodgson won't make it until Christmas. I said Everton would finish above us and got lauged at. Did anyone notice last week when Everton made their comeback? Did they sit back waiting to be hit again? No. They went for the throat. A so called small team with bigger ambition in their mentality, whereas today we were a big team with small time ambition when it looked as if we grabbed a lucky draw.

:nod

He's no bitter Nan. The difference is. the Bitters play with balls and passion - we don't. And we're supposedly "better" than them. We don't have a 'right' to win at OT - it has to be earned on the pitch.

Surely there must be some small changes or some slight improvement ?! Is it not 11 games now including Europe plus the friendlies yet nothing has changed apart from we are worse at the back , we are sitting too deep and we are creating no chances .
