In regards to the Huang bid to buy the club, couple of commitments that they have made in their bid, commitments that the board of LFC, BarCap and RBS are aware of

They will remove all the debt on the club

They will invest heavily in the playing squad

They will start work on the stadium as soon as is practicable, as it is absolutely key to their long term plans for the club

They will promote the club in both China and the US, aiming bring in global giants as commercial partners with the intention of building the club to a level of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich

The only caveat to this is that IF George is successful in moving the goalposts, there is doubt as to whether they will be happy to watch the club depreciate further for a further 12 months and may withdraw their interest.

As much as it "may" be true, let's keep to sourced quotes.

Third party information is no worse that Lakes drivel.

Twist in Liverpool takeover

Former Syria international renews interest in Anfield club

Liverpool have witnessed a twist in their takeover saga after the emergance of reports that a consortium of Arab and Canadian businessmen are in advanced discussions with the Premier League club.

Kenny Huang was thought to be in pole position to buyout American duo George Gillett and Tom Hicks at Anfield, and Sky Sports News reported on Tuesday that the Chinese tycoon had made a formal offer.

But now a group containing investors from the Middle East and Canada, fronted by former Syria international Yahya Kirdi, are said to be finalising a purchase price, repayment of debt and financing for Liverpool's planned new stadium in Stanley Park.

Co-owner Gillett is understood to have introduced Kirdi, a Unicef representative, to senior Anfield staff and the Royal Bank of Scotland, to which the club owes a reported £250million.

Sky Sports News have quoted Kirdi as saying: "Liverpool is a massive football club with passionate and proud fans in Merseyside and in every part of the world.

"With additional money to improve the squad and financing in place to build the new stadium, Liverpool will be on a solid foundation to compete in the Premiership and in Europe for years to come."

Gillett and Hicks put Liverpool up for sale in May and appointed Martin Broughton as chairman to oversee the process and Barclays Capital has been hired to assist.

Liverpool also received a major boost on Tuesday when star striker Fernando Torres confirmed that he wanted to stay at the club.

I am told he has a worth of £19 billion, not sure if thats true but i have also been told his bid is more solid than Kenny Huang and has give a 5 year plan to the board.

again i do fear the middelo east money as much as the far east money.

I dont think he, himself, has that much. He's fronting this middle eastern - Canadian consortium, so it looks like they're be a holding company, but made up of anywhere between 3 and 10 (+) peoples wealth

but lets not forget that unlike Hicks the Gilettes have a better name when it comes to money and trust.

its not like that nan. Heung started talks with RBS and not the club, Khirdi talks were with the club first.
Khirdi has gone the right way about buying the club and Heung did it the wrong way buy trying to do it via the back door.
