Not in here mate.

Makes Baghdad look good for yer summer hol-ies this place....

Totally agree. As you walk in the door you have to step over wrist slashers, stalkers and nutters before you've even debated anything.

If you think we've got a good team who could potentially visit the dizzy hieghts of somewhere higher than seventh, they train their machine guns on you and try and shoot you down. So negative are they that are never happier than if they are wollowing in an abyss of "this is the best we can hope for, things are going to get worse".

I should think Beirut may actually seem uplifting by comparison now I think about it. At least there people are allowed to hope for better things without anybody shooting at them for it.

Beirut is a beautiful city mate, one day I shall visit without doubt.

There are TWICE as many Lebanese living in Brazil than the whole of Lebanon! our Lebanonese friends are extremely nice folks.

Used to have a Lebanese chef working for us, Eddie was his anglecised name. Top man too.

Incidently, like Rafa I can finally confirm that I won't be taking over at Juventus, Inter Milan or AC Milan next season. Not even the soon to be vacant job at the Bernabau has turned my head, and I shall be staying right where I am for the forseeable.

A good funny quote taken from other website:

"oh lord help us, cos 'in rafa we trust' should turn to 'in rafa we will rust, in rafa we are dross, in rafa the players don't give a toss, in rafa the fans are at a loss, in rafa, let's make a fuss, cos we will fail, we'll wail but to no avail cos in rafa (especially in the league) we'll rust"

I was confident that Benitez was staying, it was a media circus for nothing and I believe in no small part this was down to Rafa's agent.

I'm delighted that Benitez is staying here, he's a great manager, who loves the club and I believe him remaining here will provide the club with some much needed stability.

"I'm from Madrid, I'm at home in this city, have been linked to the club and it is a great club, but I cannot say anything more," AS Quoted Benitez as saying.

Sounds like his saying alot, without saying anything.

He's speaking with common sense.

What do you expect him to say? I'm from Madrid but really don't like the city, can't stand the people and it's really a f*****g s******e.

Or that once my time at Liverpool is up, I'll never even consider the Real Madrid job? Rafa is still a young man in managerial terms, he knows Liverpool won't be his last job. Hopefully though, he's got a few more years in him at Anfield.

But he knows he won't be retiring here, so of course he can't rule out a return to Real Madrid. As once he leaves Liverpool (horrible thought) he'll be looking for another job.

What he said was common sense.

The club might have other views on if he stays or not.

I expect him to say he is only thinking about Liverpool. He doesn't have to mention he'd love to manage Spain in 4 years or that Real are a special club. Obviously he would love either of jobs we all know that, but let's just concentrate on LFC for now. Saying nothing isn't going to hurt his future managerial ambitions surely? I'm not saying it's a big deal, but I don't see too many other managers making statements about their future away from their current clubs, Mourinho the exception. But his the biggest self promoting w.anker in the game.
