I thought that was a knock  :D

:D

It probably was but I don't often win anything, so I have to make the most of my few "victories"  :D

Once again, you're more like Rafa than you care to admit

Just be careful what you say mate..... my agent is in negotiation with RAWK and TLW as we speak  :D

Yes we heard, Lakes posted it about a week ago (his mate sent him a text). I thought it was cr@p myself.

bloody hell mate........i better get posting lol
:bowdown

Don't worry mate Rafa should be here for at least another season so you have plenty of time.  :D

Bav my fear is that if he stays it would only take a few games that we dont win at the start of the season for the rest of the fans to turn on him, they the club would sack him, this would leave us with a new manager building a team during the season after the window has shut.

If there is any chance that the club are going to sack him then they should do it now and put the new manager in now so he can be the one to get the team ready for the new season.

I thought the club didn't have the money to sack him. So how would they have gotten the money together for a few games into next season, and this also be after we have potentially bought players? Doesn't really fit does it?

The players need to take a lot of blame too. They get paid enough and they should not need motivation to put on this shirt.

yes you can blame the players but you got to blame the person that took them to the club and ask why he got it so wrong.

the cost of sacking Rafa is something the club would just have to take. they will learn not to give managers that sort of contract again.

anyway we might have new owners by then.................New Zealand might also win the world cup.

So lets take it Rafa is gonna be here for next season then.

A couple of good signings please during the summer Rafa and lets get closer to the title than 7th please, in fact, closer than 3rd would do nicely.

In Rafa we trust...  again.

move on

I realise as fans everyone is entitled to an opinion but most of you spent pretty much all of last season ramming it down our throat. The season is over and we are soon going to be headed into a new one with probably the same manager. Are you going to continue with this nonsense waiting to say 'I told you so' or are you going to put that aside and get behind the manager.

And Mick you say this place is devoid of football talk? Is that a :censored: joke mate? No one wants to talk football here these days because it's all anti rafa rafa rafa. It's boring mate, leave it alone now.

Mods can you just lock this topic and shut down any newley created Rafa topics until the world cup starts? I don't think anyone is gaining anything from this thread except a headache.

I hope whoever the manager is that we have enough success to talk about rather than the manager mate. I support the team first and foremost not the manager. That's whether its Shankly, Paisley , Rafa or Dalglish. I watch the team play, I don't spend my time watching our manager, but I do expect our manager to be loyal, pick the best team and formation, get the players and the team playing to their best level etc etc.

It annoys me when I see us playing the kind of sh!te that we have played for most of the season, because I know we can play much better. You can blame the players ...... but who buys and picks them? You can blame injuries .... but we should have people capable of stepping in. You can blame beachballs ..... but we should still be capable of giving Sunderland a goal start and getting a result. You can blame luck, but to a large extent you make your own luck. You can blame lack of money, but surely we need to start making the best of the money we got rather than moaning about money we haven't.

I get sick of all the excuses every season mate.

So no doubt if the manager continues to make the same mistakes as he did this season, I will continue to point them out.

We all want the team the club and the manager to be successful, I just think we would have more chance of that success with new owners a couple of new players and a new manager.

He just makes too many mistakes imo.

We will probably have the same owners next season, should we stop moaning about them too and lock the thread? Just ignore the things they have done and are doing to our club because someone might say "I told you so", or are you going to put all that aside and get behind them too ?

and a bonus question. why exactly is it that the 'pros' always feel so hard done by?

There is no continious ammfirmation as you put it. If anything I am just looking forward to getting in some new players and next season, if that's considered continious affirmation then you can :censored: off.[/quote]
phew. just as well i don't consider it continuous affirmation then. that was a close one.

and whats the sam song mate, al we have heard this year is about bad owners and a bad manager......lets face it, the club is in a very bad way.

in games other teams knw how we are going to play, they know when we are going to make sub, they know that if they come at us hey have a good chance, they know if its still 10 to us in the 80th theres a good chance they will make it 1-1.
the manager has taken 103 players to the club 59 of them with the idea they are going to make the first team....yet not many have made it, that also needs to be looked into.

if Rafa stays at the club then he needs more help in buying the right type of players for the club.

This is not a dig at the lads who have aired there grievences against rafa in a proper way ,with good argement and debate that is . It's a big dig at the muppets who are making this a far to personal issue for there own health . Chill , count to ten and relax . Rafa is going to be here for another season atleast be the looks of it , so for our friends who like to work themselves into a larther .It's going to be a very long summer and a very long season ,get yor heads around it now and you will feel alot better about things . NOw CONCENTRATE ON GETTING RID OF OUR OWNERS INSTEAD.

hate to say it mate but the owners will go in their own time, the only thing that will rush them is loss of profit in any sale of the club.

I heard a few lads talking the other night about putting £100 each into buying the club. I tried to tell that that we would need around 1 billion in the firts year to buy the club and to run it....they seem to think all they need is 400 mil.

The thing is it's all very well saying Rafa should be replaced but whoever comes in as a potential replacement will also have their own faults. Ok you might get a manager in who is warmer to the players, able to motivate them better and put an arm around them when needed but that's just 1 side of the equation.

You also have to make sure that you get a manager who is tactically better or the equal of Rafa, who has the capability of making a team/squad punch above their weight (because that's the expectation from the supporters) and who is able to provide an almost perfect balance in the transfer window, as they won't be able to afford any mistakes.

Easier said than done.

Is this the same tactical genius that has played Ngog on his own upfront for three quarters of last season isolating Gerrard ?
