that's the way i think we're heading under Rafa. For sure the board have a large part to blame, but Rafa has made the situation 10 times worse.

All because of one poor season - I know pros get accused of going over the top in there support of rafa but saying we will end up like Newcastle and a shitty no mark club because of rafa is a perfect example of the antis hyperboling and going way over the top .

I thought Newcastle's problem was because they kept chopping and changing manager

see, you did it again. You missed my points about Rafa's awful transfer dealings over the last 2 seasons. you also again missed my point that he makes a prat of himself everytime he tries something clever with the media.

it was loads of things, boardroom bust ups, exspensive flops, managers who couldn't keep their mouth shut....

Oh you had a point did you ?

IN YOUR OPINION he made a prat of himself where as i think he made som we very good points and said a lot of what we all agreed with and im sure i remember at the time the overwhelming support he got from fans for what he was saying .

As for the signings i have already said keane was a mistake - did you want me to write it in bold so you can see it more clearly ?

Now i have answered can you tell me why madrid werent interested in xabi two years ago when he was going pretty cheap - nor any of the other the top clubs.

in my opinon he made a grade a fool of himself..and that opinon is shared by the press and football world. It also put needless pressure on the team and f**ked up our league campaign. From memory, i think we failed to win a game for 5 weeks after his FACT outburst. way to go Rafa...Man Utd must have pi$$ed themselves with laughter

Ah Alonso, you still want to make out he isn't any good. If i'm honest i don't know why noone else came in for him. Maybe they did, but Alonso (at the time) didn't want to leave. Maybe that had some part to play. Either way, its a godsend that no one did. Because our clueless joker of a manager would have sold him for 10-12 million and replaced him with a bland, uncreative central midfielder. Mind you, Barry is better than Lucas by a mile.

Shared by the football world ?!? Not over exagerating at all then and couldn't care less what the press think . Also where have I stated that I ever thought xabi isn't any good ?

Nice to see people can still throw around the insults

For such a clueless joker his record is pretty impressive

Rafa’s outburst last season was BAD FOR LIVERPOOL FC.

It’s not a theory..it’s a FACT. Liverpool’s form suffered after Rafa’s outburst. He put unnecessary pressure onto the players at a time when we were cruising at the top of the league.  Why do it? Why put yourself up for national ridicule? Why cause problems when we are TOP OF THE LEAGUE and winning for fun. Every newspaper in the country and every tv station had a field day after Rafa's cringeworthy display and you can pretend it didn’t effect our league form, but it did. Accept it or not, that is a FACT.

I’m not quite sure what on earth you are saying about Alonso...your logic seems to be that he was off form and that meant Rafa was entitled to sell him, regardless of the fact he was a quality player and Barry wasn't anywhere near his level of ability. However, this is the contradictory part of your argument....Rafa has been off form for years and you want him to STAY.

yep, all Rafa's fault, ifitwasntforrafa we'd have won the league - why do people attach such significance to a load of bull? ???

I honestly cannot believe you can slaughter him while at the same time pointing out that he had us 'cruising at the top of the league' - its a bit paradoxical to be honest mate

maybe it is.

But (for me at least) Rafa proved last season that he hasn't got the ability (mentally at least) to handle the pressure that a title winning campaign needs. The same way Keegan pressed the self destruct button in the 90s.

nothin to do with Fergie just being better then? the Mancs have a massive winning mentality now and are the dominant force in England, beating them takes something special or takes them to implode - it was our best season in a long time, I don't think we expected those results the summer before, I didnt anyway. I was chuffed to know what its like to be in a title race. Yes we should be winning it but we've been so far off over the years that it's hard to demand instant results (cue its been six years)

to be honest mate, i just can't see it happening under Rafa. Last season should have been it. would love to be proven wrong, but i'm of the opinon that Rafa's had his chance and he's blown.
