Narrow minded I'm not sure about Lynds, but to find my remarks offensive is a little over sensitive to say the least. I'm not slagging off Rafa's missus (how could I, WTF has she got to do with anything anyway), I was merely making the point that when we improve next season many people will be talking about "progress", whilst ignoring the fact that we have only progressed to a point which is behind where we started from.

This "I can't believe the insults Rafa is getting" from various quarters is getting a bit tired. He's probably a nice bloke, his missus is no doubt lovely too, he's trying his best to do a good job in less than ideal circumstances, he may even love the club/his job. My gripe is aside from all of that, I simply think the club could do better for a manager.

Seriously though, if people are going to take offense because I'm suggesting when we improve the fans will be singing Rafa's praises, then we really have gone to pot. I remember a month or two back suggesting that the owners will have people on the Kop starting the "Raffer, Raf-eye-elle" chants as the fans backing of him saves them 16 million quid. Astoundingly, people actually thought I was being serious, that literally they had song starters littered about the place to get them going. I wasn't being serious then, and I wasn't seriously suggesting the fans will sing "Montse is a scouser either".

lol so are you all trying to tell me that every media outlet has it in for Rafa??

all of them?

I just find it funny how you all take something they print as the trurh and yet when they print something they dont like you say they are all lies.

it might just be myself and my own views, having links with the media and known how they work gives me another view on things. if it was just one report that stated it then yes i would say there was nothing in it, but when all of them have been saying that he has been in talks then i take that as the trurh, add to this other things i was told before xmas this media stuff now just backs it up for me.

well i say i take one view of it and you can take your own view of it.

at the end of the day we will only ever find out the truth once he has left the club, that might be in a few days or it might be in 5 years.

Well i think its out of order that he gets called, a fat spanish tw@t, fat spanish waiter, clueless fecker, mentally disturbed to name just a few insults.

There is no need for it yes he has to take most of the blame for us finishing 7th last season, he made a right pigs ear of the job last season, he failed at his job, but people need to focus on that and cut the insults out and debate how and where it went wrong and not just fly off the handle and dish out abuse with things that have nothing to do with liverpool or even football for that matter.

And lakes needs to stop making things up, I know people who know Rafa personally and I havent heard none of what Lakes says from them, infact its Rafa's wife that doesnt want to leave she loves her house and life in Caldy nothing to do with Rafa wanting his own way with Juve.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

mate I dont mind some of the stuff you put up on here - the takeover stuffs quite informative - mostly because you hold a more neutral stance on that matter. I think you read negative Rafa stuff and try to take it as fact. Sorry but thats just how I see it. I'm not pro Rafa, more anti anti :D

Stuff like 'Rafa has a gun to the head of LFC', he 'wants £16m payout and without it he wont go', he 'wants more control of Juve and thats why hes not there'

Rafa had an awful season, made some poor buys, his tactics sucked, but the year before was another story... its a weird dilemma. We all want success though, and if we had money no doubt wed fire Rafa and get someone else to mix things up, but keeping him ain't a bad thing, as he does have a great pedigree, all he needs is to accept he's made mistakes and move on to a great season

agree totally, rafa is top pedigree manager and lets not forget in 02 he won la liga then in 03 failed miserably with a fifth place finish and 18 points behind the winners real.also missed out on champs league.
in 04 he turned it around by winning the league again and adding an uefa cup to it.

what im saying is he is capable of turning this mess around next year should he remain here.

some of the stuff thats been said here about him is unbelievable and to see his wife been dragged into it equally astounds me.
some on here are stooping to a new low!!! :no

ok so you are all saying that Rafa is telling us 100% the trurh.......ok lets have a look t something back in Jan.

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez statement
"Contrary to reports in the Italian media this weekend, I want to make it absolutely clear I have no agreement with Juventus," Benitez said.

"I have not and will not be meeting Juventus or their representatives or any other club."

ok, so why do we here all this stuff over the last few weeks about Rafa agent Juventus?
it was the truth, Rafa has not come out and said his agent did not talk to them.

No rafa has stuck to what he said, he has not met them....but his agent did.

Benitez’s agent was spotted in meeting with Juve’s chairman Jean Claude Blanc, and was forced to admit to the press “I have met (Juventus chairman) Jean Claude Blanc,  even if I was in Italy for other affairs,” said Manuel Garcia Quillon.
