After our woeful performance against Braga, I worry about today.

We played like Wimbledon for most of the match, and created nothing.  Without Kelly and Gerrard we are weakened and I am concerned about where our creativity will come from.  Spearing?  I don't think so.

I would have gone with three at the back, but of course we are a full back short, so Johnson would be on one side but there is literally no-one else to do the job on the other.

If we by pass the midfield like we did on Thursday, Sunderland will eat that up all day, and no doubt beat us.  We have to get back to the slick pass and move football we saw in Kenny's early days (where has it gone?)

I assume we line up like this -

              Reina

Johnson Carra  Skrtel  Agger

  Mereiles  Lucas  Spearing 

   Kuyt  Carroll  Suarez

A lot rests on Suarez and Mereiles being able to string some passes together and keep the ball.

I know this post sounds negative, but after Thursday, I really do worry about us.

I wouldnt read too much into Europa league performances mate. I think Suarez is already a key man to link midfield and strikers, hopefully this shows today

lol Roy Wilkens just said that we aren't better with Kenny than when we were with Hodgson.

Hmm, commentators say we are gonna play 442. Much rather we played 433 with that line up
