Downing should have done better there. Long range but no goalie, it shouldn't be that hard to score

Made hard work of it until Gerrard came on. Carroll had a good few chances (service) and Hendo looked a bit better when SG was on

Another match with only 2 subs....  ???

whatever...3 points.

and to finish off 2011..............HENDERSON AND ADAM CANNOT PLAY IN THE SAME TEAM. WE CAN CARRY ONE OF THEM BUT 2 OF THEM IN THE SAME TEAM IS REALLY HANDICAPPING THE BALANCE OF THE TEAM.

Looks like Gerrard is living up to what he said regarding thanking the fans. Excellent performance. Man of the match though is Bellamy. Should start alongside Gerrard from now on.

Funny how so many people have said Carroll is so wasteful... Then Stevie comes on and actually gets him some good balls and he's extremely unlucky again not to score.  Thought he was really good after Stevie, who is the new God, came on.  Amazing how much he affected the game like that.  Very happy we scored 3 for the first time since we played Bolton the 3rd game of the season.

Bellers was great again.  Downing was pretty good.  Spearing impressed in the second.  What a clearance by Skrtel who had another solid game.  You just can't outclass Stevie.

Good performance there... looking like a team when Stevie came on. Someone, sometime is going to get a right spanking. I thought the big man had a good game too... he was a menace and the bar codes were terrified of him.

Gerrard changed the pace of the game when he came on! what a performance from him!!  :bowdown

Lets hope Stevie stays fit because he will play a big part in the second half of the season. Who needs Suarez when we have Stevie back :nod

Special mention to Skertl. Only for him it would have been 2-2.
