But they reckon he's got a virus and is definately out don't they  ??? . That being the case, there seems little point in his risking making it worse, infecting everyone else etc. Obviously if it's a load of old b0ll0cks and there's feck all wrong with him, then I'd have him at the very least on the bench.

Some rumors on RAWK saying Stevie needs surgery and will miss the lyon game too.

In fairness Rafa has intimated as much diuring some interviews. Sometimes with these injuries you're better off biting the bullet and getting it done. Miss the player for a month or two but at least he comes back fully fit. It obviously won't help our title/Champions League/Fa Cup aspirations, although if Aquilani can get himself fit and available it will lessen the load a little.

Great news for us if Murphy is out of this one (although i haven't seen it on SSN) as he ran the game at Anfield last season.

Not sure who will be asked to play RB in Johnson's absence, I would have been happy to see Kelly play there after an encouraging performance against Lyon the other night but he's injured and I really don't trust Degen's defensive ability one bit. Personally i'd like to see Aurelio step in and do the job. I hope we don't see Carra at FB just one game after announcing his return to form.

Really tough game this, I'm just hoping we can keep a clean sheet and a bit of magic form Yossi or Torres to get out with the win.

Apparently a virus is attacking our players, half of the squad is out for today's game.

please say he's on a windup
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
