I'd happily let Lucas play this if it allows Rafa to rest Stevie, he really needs it.

As said lets hope Riera is playing so he can give us some width down the left. If Babel has stopped sulking maybe he could play down the right and have two up top for once with both wingers getting balls in the box, as both can skin players going outside instead of having benny cutting in all the time. Then maybe allow Johnson to float inside and get some shots in? Could work. Lets hope Nando and Aqua are on the bench atleast.

I'd let Lucas play, but not happily.

Looks like we have almost everyone in full training now and only Torres, Babel and Kelly are doubts for this game. We’ve got a full week of training to prepare for Blackburn plus the game against Fiorentina next Wednesday is a dead rubber so won’t be a distraction. I hope to see Riera back in the starting line up and Aurelio at leftback. If things are going well expect to see Aquilani come off the bench in preparation for his first start against Fiorentina.

                         Reina

Johnson   Carragher   Agger   Aurelio

                 Gerrard    Masch

             Kuyt   Benayoun   Riera

                         Ngog

Subs: Pacheco, El Zhar, Aquilani, Lucas, Insua, Skrtel, Cavalieri

Will be surprised if Gerrard doesnt start here... I think itll be Riera in for Aurelio and everything else pretty much the same (maybe Aurelio for Insua but wouldnt make much of a difference anyways).....

I forget that Blackburn are playing Chelsea tonight in the league cup. They have most of their first team out tonight so should have a few tired legs come Saturday. If we can’t win this one we may as well pack it in.

They just beat Chelsea, not Chelsea's starting XI but still a pretty strong team.  Might be a little harder to win know, they might have confidence and what not :D
