Amazing what a few day's rest and playing him in the right position can do to him eh? Should be managed like this from now on, playing every second game while serving as an impact sub in the rest of the games. I know we've only got a little time left with the captain, but I'd rather see him less but at his best than see him in every game but with half of his strength.

Wow Mourinho shows some class that's a first!

???  Maureen and class should never be in the same sentence. Had he said it before maybe but saying it now just before they come to Anfield... He just loves to read about himself in the press. Class  :upside:

He also said after the game that if the atmosphere is 25% of what it was in anfield then it will be some night  :D

In fairness though I think mourinho knows exactly what a massive part the anfield crowd plays and that is where his respect lies. He has spoken many times about it and I'd say its something he has never had. Its that kind of adoration that he craves  :nod
Maybe someday he will want a proper challenge  :D

I'm sure one of Mourinho's ex players claimed that 'the special one' was a Liverpool fan.

There's the league, the cups and the Europa League, plenty of game-time for everyone.

I wouldn't 'drop' anybody, Sturridge shouldn't be an automatic selection, he needs to earn his place.

True but we all know he will get the wave in so what you you think?

Not having a proper striker has definitely hurt us, even in this good run that we've been on recently, if I was picking the team he'd be the first name down on the team sheet.

Absolutely.
We seriously need a goalscorer and he would have eaten up most of the chances we have spurned. Even if he is only 80% fit I'd consider playing him.

When Gerrard leaves at the end of this season we have a team of players that have never won anything with LFC. that's a sad sign.

All the reports are that SG will be out for 3+ weeks

Not at all good for him

The question is now, will BR rightfully move Can into the dm position and not put Allen in there

Hopefully he will. His dominance and energy in front of that defense would be a bonus. I know most don't want to see the system changed and I agree but it can be tweaked a little and I think we would be the better for it.
