Most likely it is bull, but if it is true, it isn't that bad is it. Duff, Parker & 20 million for gerrard..... too good to be true.

Newspaper reports today claim that Chelsea are prepared to offer Liverpool £20million in cash up front along with the services of Damien Duff and Scott Parker, to tempt them into parting with skipper Steven Gerrard.

Liverpool were linked with the classy Duff for some time while Gerard Houllier was in charge but when Abramovich arrived at Stamford Bridge our interest cooled as we were simply unable to compete with their offerings.

It's no secret that Duff was up for a move to Anfield before his switch to Chelsea so it will be interesting to see if anything comes of this, should Liverpool decide to cash in. Player exchanges can be very hard to negotiate though because of the differences in valuations set by the buying and selling clubs.

what paper as the express has it at £35.5mil cash.

as for the players i would not say either where bad players they where just denied the opportunity to play regularly at Chelski.

Mourinho would be mad to trade Duff.I can only assume the player is unhappy at Chelskis rotation policy and wants a game every week.Same with Parker.That sounds like a reasonable deal to me.

If they give us money + Duff and Parker that would be a fair trade. Duff is a wonderful player, and Parker is better than midget Murphy.

Damian Duff is world class, I'd snap their hand off.
