Don't know why stevie G is coming out doing interviews saying it's rogers fault he's leaving for not playing him every game.

I wouldn't mind sitting half the season on.the bench and getting paid 100k a week for it.

If he wanted another contract, he would have signed one. It's all about money. He'll go over to.the MLS,  three seasons and make about 10m.or more.

Basically, he thinks he is too good to sit on.the bench.

Its all about.... Greed, a lot of these top footballers are greedy unfortunately

It was nice to see Gerrard standing in the tunnel congratulating all the players as they walked off the pitch yesterday, especially after all the talk of dressing room bust ups and players squaring up to each other earlier on in the season.

Think I have said it quite a lot in his defence when he has been playing well that it isn't just about what he does on the pitch !!

We've had a few seasons now to find stevies replacement, and unless u call Hendo his replacement, we have failed.

Sadly don't believe anyone can replace Stevie at his very best, nobody even comes close imo..... The nearest thing i have seen is Ross Barkley, i watched him last night and he's a decent player but nowhere near the level Stevie was at that age

Liverpool chief Ian Ayre CONFIRMS talks over Steven Gerrard loan return

STEVEN GERRARD could return to Liverpool on loan from LA Galaxy, after chief executive Ian Ayre confirmed the club have held talks over a possible reunion next year.

The Reds skipper will leave Anfield at the end of the season after agreeing on a switch to the MLS.

“It happens a lot in MLS and it’s something we talked to Steven and his representatives about”

With the American campaign working on a different calendar to the European game, there have been suggestions Gerrard could return to Merseyside to top his fitness during the off-season.

And that idea has been welcomed by senior figures at Liverpool, including Ayre, owner John W. Henry and manager Brendan Rodgers.

When asked if Gerrard could return to the club next January, Ayre told Liverpool radio station City Talk: “It’s conceivable.

"It happens a lot in MLS and it’s something we talked to Steven and his representatives about.

Gerrard could not be done at Anfield just yet

"You can’t have someone who has so much of the club’s DNA in them and just expect that it will go away.

"I’ve said openly to Steven and his representatives, as have Brendan and the owners, that we see Steven as part of the family.

Jose Mourinho tells Chelsea fans ahead of Capital One Cup tie at Anfield to stop Steven Gerrard chant

"A couple of times it’s good fun but to go and go and go, especially when a player like him deserves respect, we don’t need that."

"We did everything to sign him but SG will be a red forever & I respect that a lot. He never told me ‘I will go’, never ever."

???  Maureen and class should never be in the same sentence. Had he said it before maybe but saying it now just before they come to Anfield... He just loves to read about himself in the press. Class  :upside:
